With all the talk of Perez being replaced, I don't see Redbull being able to get someone as talented as Lando and Ricciardo would be quite a risk that he might still not be where he once was.

The best likely replacement in my view would be to bring back Albon.
Maybe we can get Vips in somehow and have radio comms like a 2000s Call of Duty lobby. I think it's likely to be Ricciardo unless he breaks his other wrist.

Former F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone spared jail after admitting tax fraud

Ecclestone pleaded guilty to a fraud charge over his failure to declare millions of dollars held in a trust in Singapore to UK’s government.

Former Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone was spared an immediate prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to misleading The United Kingdom’s tax authority about overseas assets worth more than 400 million pounds ($492m).

Ecclestone has also agreed a civil settlement with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), under which he will pay 652.6 million pounds ($798.4m) covering tax, interest and penalties for 18 tax years between 1994 and 2022, prosecutor Richard Wright said on Thursday.

The 92-year-old appeared at London’s Southwark Crown Court and pleaded guilty to one count of fraud by false representation, just more than a month before he was due to stand trial.
Ecclestone admitted giving a misleading answer to HMRC at a July 2015 meeting, when he said he had established only a single trust in favour of his daughters and was not a beneficiary or settlor of any other trust.

He was, in fact, the settlor and beneficiary of various trusts, including one which held a company that sent 416 million pounds ($509m) to a bank account in Singapore in 2010, HMRC said.

Judge Simon Bryan gave Ecclestone a 17-month prison sentence suspended for two years, meaning he will only go to jail if he commits another criminal offence during that time.

Ecclestone’s lawyer Clare Montgomery told the court Ecclestone “did not know the true position” about whether he was the beneficiary or settlor of any other trust, saying his answer to HMRC was an “impulsive lapse of judgment”.

Ecclestone gave an unintelligible response to reporters as he left the court.

Andrew Penhale, chief crown prosecutor at the Crown Prosecution Service, said in a statement, “All members of UK society, regardless of how wealthy or famous they are, must pay their taxes and be transparent and open with HMRC about their financial affairs.”

Richard Las, chief investigation officer and director of the Fraud Investigation Service at HMRC, said Ecclestone had “lied to HMRC”.

“This conviction demonstrates no one is above the law and HMRC will work tirelessly to ensure the tax system is fair to all and pays for our vital public services,” he added.

Ecclestone had attempted to stop the prosecution earlier this year, with his lawyers arguing that putting him on trial posed a serious risk to his life.

A cardiologist gave evidence that the stress of the trial meant that Ecclestone was “more likely to die than not during the trial”, according to a June ruling.

However, Bryan said there was “no real and immediate threat to the life of Mr Ecclestone by reason of the trial process”.

The decision also states that Ecclestone paid approximately 250 million pounds in income and capital gains tax to HMRC between 1999 and 2017.

His lawyer Montgomery had noted at a previous hearing in January that Ecclestone was charged shortly after he made “unpopular” comments about Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Here I was thinking that Bernie Ecclestone would be turning in his grave seeing how much of a shitshow F1 now is, and it turns out he's still alive and owes over half a billion quid in tax.

Perhaps being in Epstein's black book gave him access to whatever medicine is also keeping Henry Kissinger alive.

mercedes is so fucking done lmao
Do not worry, next year will be their year 😁
Aston Martin has officially revived the Valkyrie Le Mans Hypercar program, there's been a lot of speculation that's where Daddy Stroll will banish his useless spawn to in 2025 (which would be very much to the detriment of the WEC lineup lol). Also really fucking random but Gabe Newell's Heart of Racing team will be running the cars as the factory team.
I wouldn't trust Stroll with my Uncle's Panda but honestly better, at least He frees up a space for a pilot that truly deserves it. I just hope that space it's not going to be occupied by another Sponsor-backed pilot (Latifi, Mazepin etc.).

Oh and bring also Nelson Piquet back to the Paddock as an opinionist!

All sorts of rumors of Checo retiring all of a sudden, some saying he'll announce it at the Mexican GP. Always lots of rumors that are worth nothing of course, but an interesting thought.

Kvyat - took his seat, took his girl, took his kid
Gasly - cucked into being even more French
Albon - banished to Williams
Checo - turned into a nanny for his 17 kids

Who's next up for Max. I still think Daniel is/was the plan, though they now have very little data on him with him missing so many races.

I don't think a lack of current data will be an issue. Ricciardo's biggest strength is what he'll bring to the team outside the car.

Max is right up there with Hambone as far as F1's most polarizing characters go, whereas Ricciardo is almost everybody's second favourite driver (and if he's not your second favourite driver, he's probably your favourite).

Checo has that sort of vibe too... but after a promising 2022, the Red Bull sausage machine seems to have ground him down.

Yeah from a commercial/PR perspective Danny Ric probably brings close to as much money as Checo does, which will be a big part of it. That said, if and when a challenger to Max shows up it'd be nice to have a second driver who can at least be within a pitstop, take the occasional front row lockout, and give some strategic options.

It's definitely telling that RBR has never had a 1-2 in the drivers championship even with the flyers they've produced. It's a very difficult environment to be the 2nd driver, because they've had some good on paper 2nd drivers but somehow it has never happened. This season should have been a lock for that with the start they had but Checo has melted.

The FIA has reopened the hambone casually wandering across the track during a race issue. The stewards issues a reprimand and €50k fine (half suspended) but the FIA is ultimately responsible for safety so can follow up.

Didn't they break up before Max entered the picture?

Anyway. This is would be a faggot ass/yenta comment on my part (but why be in the Farms to begin with?) but the age gap between Max and Kelly is something that raises my brow a bit. Thing is, age gaps are usually workable when it's the other way around, and in my experience, being even 2 years younger than a woman is enough to send some of them retching. Sure, being an ace driver makes him a prime piece of meat, but what's gonna happen in several years if Max decides he wants kids of his own?

He's gonna have to think faster than he drives, especially if he wants more than one.

Having a clear no.1 driver is still the best way to be successful, but yes, they were never able to do what Ferrari did with Schumacher for example. Might just be the modern era, with bigger fan involvement through social media pressure and all the dicksucking drivers get now it's more difficult to just have a nice cuck contract for your no.2. Even Checo still got a lot of freedom to operate despite being demolished for two years.

Maybe Merc should've stuck with Bottas since he may have been the last of the true cuck drivers.

I just love how he put that first WDC trophy on his shitty little Red Bull fridge just barely in shot while he's streaming.

Hell learning that Kelly was 34 surprised me at first, Max definitively needs to think fast if He wants to have a child (or even more) with Kelly before She becomes too old for that.
