As long as the appropriate authorities hand over enough oil money to the FIA it wouldn't really matter if Hamas had declared the main straight and grand stand part of Palestine and occupied it.
 
I know it's only a sprint, but I'm stoked that Piastri got the win. I'd bet dollars to donuts that he'll be Australia's next WDC, though probably not until the end of the decade.
 
Quick rundown:
- Maximum 18 laps for new tires
- Used tires (quali/practice) get a +2 laps allowance to compensate for slow inlaps/outlaps (so a used tire with 5 laps can be driven in the race for 15 laps instead of 13)
- This is regardless of tire compound
- Black flag (disqualification) for exceeding this limit

Yeah, what a joke. Pirelli and the Qatar race officials should be ashamed of this shit. Absolutely pathetic and utterly destroys any real strategy possibilities for the race.

I can already guarantee sky will be praising how it adds an extra element. The reddit seals will slap their fins together and the FIA will consider borking every race.

Just like the year everyone's tyres fell apart in Canada, it produced some exciting racing so the FIA decided they needed to use tyres that couldn't even last a lap at full speed at most circuits.

The tyres each driver has and the laps left on them.

It's a 57 lap race so an even 3 stop would be at lap 14, 28, 43.

If we get safety cars it could get interesting either accidentally) forcing the driver to 4 stop, or forcing a stop once the snake has formed throwing them to the back. I'm looking at the people in red for making one of those fuckups.

Well they can make stops now. This is the earliest you could pit and do a 3 stop.

"Hey look somethings happening, better cut away"
