Dunno about WEC, but Indycar pays points for finishing, so there is an incentive to get it back out there and finish even if they're two laps down by the time the checkered flag drops.Yes this is true, at first I did not know about this but the Sky commentators said that it happens more frequently in Indycar and in the WEC, though since I do not follow those series I am not aware of how more frequently it does.
Yes, though that can happen (and has) in f1 too. If there are 10 or more retirees and you can fix the car you'll earn points for it, and to be honest that makes sense.Dunno about WEC, but Indycar pays points for finishing, so there is an incentive to get it back out there and finish even if they're two laps down by the time the checkered flag drops.
Yeah, just the fact that Checo even being very inconsistent this season is second in the WDC shows pretty much how superior their car is, add to that that in most races Verstappen ended ~15 seconds ahead of the 2nd place, it comes at no suprise that they've won the ConstructorsNo no one’s surprise, Red Bull won the constructor’s trophy this season.
Man i wish that happened to me lol
The only series that actually bans going back out after you take it to the garage is Nascar, and it used to be legal for many years there as well until Matt Kenseth decided to go out on the track 65 laps down and intentionally wreck the race leader.Yes this is true, at first I did not know about this but the Sky commentators said that it happens more frequently in Indycar and in the WEC, though since I do not follow those series I am not aware of how more frequently it does.
He didn't wreck the race leader, he had an untimely puncture that result in him understeering into LoganoThe only series that actually bans going back out after you take it to the garage is Nascar, and it used to be legal for many years there as well until Matt Kenseth decided to go out on the track 65 laps down and intentionally wreck the race leader.
It's going to be fun.
Nyck de Vries + Bottas line up at ferrari inbound.

It's going to be a doozy.

I agree with these except for the Alonso one, He's still young and talented I don't believe He's retiring any soonIt's going to be a doozy.
My first predictions:
- Alonso to retire; Checo to AM
- Ricciardo to RBR (yeah no shit Sherlock)
- Lawson to AT
- Tsunoda to get a 1 year contract with AT; unlikely to get renewed in 2026
- Hambone to get 1 year contract with Mercedes; will keep malding
- Bottas to retire; Albon to get multi-year contract with Sauber
He's the oldest driver currently in F1. By the end of next year, he'll be 43. Not exactly "young" last time I checked.I agree with these except for the Alonso one, He's still young and talented I don't believe He's retiring any soon
He is definitely rookie of the year. He's the oldest driver currently in F1. By the end of next year, he'll be 43. Not exactly "young" last time I checked.

I don't have a clue about aerodynamics outside of the basic popscience explanation of it, so as basic and watered down as it possible gets - but according to this wonderful bit of 'tism, if I understood it right that is, the widespread explanation that high rake works the diffuser harder is wrong and may be the opposite?
Pretty much my take away too. I was just pointing out that the popular explanation that's everywhere (reddit/yt) that claims that higher rake cars work the diffuser harder appears to be wrong. It even says it outright:My take away is rake decreases peak downforce but is more consistent and increases downforce when the car is going slow and makes the car pointy on the front end.
Also interesting in that the higher rear actually causes some mechanical effects in the way the car loads the rear tires when turning. In reality, the floor-diffuser assembly generates less DWF than in the case of the 1° rake angle car.
