11 seconds ahead, we are probably gonna get some fucking record win margin today.

Also, Perez has been quite trash these last few races.

Oscar did get smashed by Lando a bit in the race but still an amazing job, already can't wait to see him next year when he's settled in properly. He clearly has the pace, I think better races will come with experience on the tires and all that, and he's learning quickly.

Checo is just buckling so hard, it's painful. Love how he had to sit in his car like a dunce for half the race just to try to avoid a penalty next race, watching his teammate dominate on the monitor. He's actually incredibly fortunate it's a unique season where 4 different teams have had the second best car at different times, or he'd be nowhere near second in the championship.

the absolute shitshow that is going to be mercedes the moment they have a competitive car will be amazing. russell hates lewlew guts lmao

Lando has got the second seat in '25. All the insider info is that, you can see it in the press interviews lando does. Hes got chekos seat after his contract expires with McL.
This dude seems 100% confident that Lando will be moving to RBR in '25. It's the first I've heard of any "insider info" and it doesn't seem anywhere as nearly as obvious in press interviews as this commenter suggests.

Am I missing something? I just can't see Lando leaving McLaren any time soon.

Russell's comment on the the radio where he was asking if we (i.e. Russell and Hambone) were racing each other or the rest of the field sounded pretty passive-aggressive to me, so I wouldn't be surprised. I wonder if George would have said that if Toto was at the race.

Talks have apparently now been postponed until after 2025.

Perez's contract with Red Bull expires at the end of 2024. Ralf Schumacher claimed recently that the deteriorating relationship between Verstappen and Perez and the mounting cost of the latter's crash damage (thought to exceed $2million) will see him ousted from the team before then, with Ricciardo being the most logical replacement.

Given Schumacher's judgement on circuit while in F1, I find it hard to give his musings too much credence, but who knows.

Red Bull brought Ricciardo back into the fold for a reason; the most logical reason being to keep him warm until Checo gets yeeted from RBR.

Tsunoda will never be good enough to get the RBR seat (because Japanese F1 drivers have a tradition of being kinda shit), and I can't see Lawson being thrown straight into the big boy's chair at the expense of Ricciardo. It makes the most sense to promote Ric and get Lawson into AT.

I mean wouldn't you if you were clearly faster but the team told you to fuck off, the golden boy ran you off the track when you were ahead and the stewards saw nothing wrong with it. But then when it's the opposite way around the team are instantly on the radio telling you to get out of the way.

Yeah I also think that they brought back Danny Ric to replace checo unless he gets his shit together. They need an experienced driver in that second seat, and let's face it Daniel has had training at being dominated by a younger teammate at McLaren. Yuki can barely keep it together at AT, and they've seen what happens when you put an inexperienced young gun in there with Max. Also, Danny Ric can compete with Checo from a commercial point of view.

Wouldn't surprise me if Liam Lawson does end up in the AT after all, even if they give Checo the start of next season.

Cars can rejoin if the team manages to make repairs. There are cases in the past though it is rather rare
Yes this is true, at first I did not know about this but the Sky commentators said that it happens more frequently in Indycar and in the WEC, though since I do not follow those series I am not aware of how more frequently it does.

There was also a rumor started by Joe Saward about Lando having a Pre-Contract with Ferrari to join in 2025 (source)
However take this info with a pinch of salt, as even Saward admits that the deal is not set in stone, highlight the Some believe.

Exactly this, remember that when the 2026 new Engine Rules kick in RBPT will partner with Ford, dropping their partnership with Honda. It just seems logical that as soon as they drop the Japanese partner they drop the Japanese driver, and it becomes even more logical of a conclusion if you see how easily they dropped Debris for his poor performance.
