Leclerc got a 5 second penalty for cutting the last corner of the last lap of the race.

That has to be the most underwhelming announcement of someone being champion I've seen in a while. Probably due to the utter confusion caused by LeChuck's fuckup, though. The penalty was completely deserved though- It had shades of Hamilton last year skipping a corner in Abu Dhabi and ending up about ten car lengths ahead of the RBs.


lmao, even Max is confused as fuck in the cooldown room. Nice to see a champion with a sense of humour. Hope Honda filled in the paperwork quickly enough to get credited for it too.
 
They just said this on the post race show.

Full points were awarded for the race because the points are only reduced if the race does not resume after a stoppage, and the race did resume. Max got 25 points and Charles got 15 for their performances in the Japanese Grand Prix.

Ah that's how. With 75% points there was a 111 point difference with 112 remaining so I was struggling to work it out.

I enjoyed the bloois gets cucked by Ocon saga too. Even the TV director went "fuck it he ain't making it" and showed other stuff. They're getting salty about the "Alpine roadblocks" holding up their boi over in the lewlew subreddit too.

So sorry your "GOAT" can't over take a supposed roadblock there guys (there also a whole load of cope about Russell's overtakes and how it wasn't possible on Ocon, it had to be on a straight).

Also Hamilton now on less than half the points of Max and over a race win behing Russell. Making him the last of the drivers for the "big 3" teams.

The moral fagging about the truck got old fast. The fact it was under full safety car and then reds takes away any of the "it shouldn't be there" arguments for me.

In general I agree but it was getting pretty dark in the interviews. Four hours and move the start time up an hour. Yeah, bad for Euro TV, but...

Edit: OMG that ermine-draped chair in the WDC room. Real negro design sensibility, this a Lewis thing? :D
