Everyone's been saying it for a while, but Gasly's move to Alpine as been confirmed and De Vries will be filling his old seat at Alpha Tauri.

Now to see who gets the Williams seat and whether or not Mick still has a drive for next year.

I've never been happier to be proven wrong. I honestly didn't think De Vries had a chance, even after his stellar performance at Monza, all because 27 seems a bit old to be starting a full-time F1 drive in the current era.

As for the remaining two seats... whilst I'd love to see both Mick and Ricciardo driving next year, I can't see both of them getting a drive. Whilst I'd like to see Mick continue to drive for Haas, the idea of KMag and Hulk being on the same team would be hilarious.

It's times like this that make me feel especially sad about Mick's dad, as I get the feeling he would have made a great mentor for Mick at this stage of his career.

Williams... maybe Drugovich? I know the Americans are pushing for one of their guys to go into F1 next year, but the F2 to F1 pipeline is real. Though in the worst case scenario, Drugovich could do a Piastri.

I'd also like to see Mick get one more year, he's gotten better over the course of this year but I think his FP1 crash and sealed his fate.

I've heard rumors of Sargeant to Williams if he gets enough points for his super license

I think De Vries has benefitted from looking younger than he is and people keep forgetting he is 27.

Why is anyone pushing for Hulkenberg?

Hamilton and Russell said they loose 8 tenths on the straight compared to Red Bull. Oh I think the next races are going to be fun (USA, Mexico, Brazil and Abu Dhabi). RIP winning any races this year (unless something crazy happens)

The W13 is not a top speed car at all + they are running a high downforce rear wing at Suzuka compared to RB and Ferrari who have trimmed their rear wings (by the looks of it)

Also interesting Battle Cats sponsor on the rear wing of that RB18. When was the last time a video-game appeared on a F1 car?

I weep for Danny Ricardo

Yeah, dude probably needs a year out to rebuild after the McLaren shitshow years (remember when everyone was saying how fucked Norris was getting him as a team mate). I just hope he can find a seat in 2024 as a year out can make it difficult to do so.

He's confirmed it, no drive next season

Fuckin' sign up for Johnson's abandoned seat with Chip, dude. There is no way that couldn't be made to happen.

We're going to have another season where the #1 and #2 in F2 don't get a seat but #3 does because he comes from a target market *sigh*

Drugovich has signed for AM for 2023.

Yep, definitely seems like a Piastri situation. For AM's sake, they'd want to be better at contracts than Alpine. Though with Stroll The Elder at the helm, I get the feeling that losing Drugovich due to a contract fuckup is highly unlikely.

Hopefully Alonso will be able to mentor Drugovich next year. I can't see him learning much from Stroll The Younger.

3 hours left with very bad weather expected, possibly thunderstorm. Will AMD AMX clinch it like a weeb or they won't even let them race? 🤔

Yeah, that seals it for me then. Its a 2AM start for me and if weather is bad they wont start on time. So, not staying up until past sunrise and getting shafted either waiting for a start or even race postponed. Maybe if title was at stake I'd stay up but going to catch this one tomorrow.

Japan and Aus were always the 2 races that had me up until sunrise, but not this year! Title decided and with bad weather combined with Suzuka and memories of Bianchi I am sure still floating around, this could be one where it may actually get postponed if the weather is that bad and expected to remain so. Hope the rest of you enjoy and it's worth the wonky hours that you are up.
