I think I loved this race. An utter catastrophe on all fronts, and most of the grid seemed to massively expose themselves. Now we just need to wait for either a massive shitshow, or an underwhelming saltfest for the safety car infringements.

I'd list my thoughts and say "The fuck was [driver] doing?" But I'd be here all day, so I guess the highlights are that Latifi is an actual menace, Max most likely ruined a good result by playing way too aggressive and constantly fucking himself up, Loois showed absolutely no skill and constantly whinged about every single tyre decision, LeClerc rapidly lost pace, but on nowhere near the same levels as his teammate, George Russell is an insufferable aggrocunt who deserves a penalty, and Alonso was DOTD for me.

I think that covers the highlights. Oh, and FIA continues to deny the existence of Full Wet tyres, apparently on pain of having to actually make a half decent decision on time.

Kino race, easy 8/10

Had they started on time in the wet, it would have been a 10/10. Same with Monaco. Rain races used to be an opportunity to see great drivers in lesser machinery prove their skill (see: Senna at Monaco '84, Schumacher at Spain '96, Verstappen Sr. at Malaysia '01, Schumacher again at Canada '11 etc.). Now I fear we will never see races like those ever again until the FIA get their heads out of their asses, and more importantly, Pirelli make tyres that can race in the wet. Even here, the aquaplaning on the Intermediate tyres was ridiculous. Watch a wet race from the '90s or '00s and look at how little the cars budge, even on the inters in full wet conditions. Now, even the full wet tyres aquaplane once there's standing water.

The FIA needs to hold a crisis meeting in regards to wet races, because this is getting fucking stupid now. Jules Bianchi died 7 years ago, and nothing you do will bring him back from the dead. Let the 20 (or 19, let's be honest here) greatest racing drivers on the planet in the most high-tech racing machinery on Earth race goddamn it.

Speaking of Haas though, I think Kevin Magnussen has been really underperforming lately, not helped by the high speed tracks that were Monza and Spa that hurt the VF-22. He seems to be a magnet for first lap incidents (Canada contact, Hungary contact, Belgium contact, Netherlands excursion, Monza corner cutting) and due to that he either gets orange-black flagged, penaltied, or dragged to dead last due to the incidents.

This is however just an opinion - in any other way I'd love to see him make a REAL viking comeback, or simply just score points more consistently.
God damn case on point today. Even hitting worse for him potentially because Hamilton almost broke off his front wing after the Baku re-enactment but he got back in the points anyway.

Russell's slick gamble was funny though - if he had gone like just 10 laps later he would have definitely got points or not be dead last, and also not finish 10 seconds behind a lapped Haas . Still stole that fastest lap though - limited that damage the best he could.

Interesting how the FIA is deciding to investigate Perez's alleged safety car breach after the race, commentators said it was because they wanted to talk to Perez themselves about it and not jump to conclusions. Race directors probably having PTSD after that track limits call in Hungary qualifying.

A lucky cheap pitstop round for the McLarens coupled with an Alpine GP2 engine double DNF gives them the upper hand in the WCC. Aston Martin also scoring big with Stroll sneaking into P6, and Vettel P8, sandwiching in Max Verstappen in P7.

That no further investigation for causing the collision was absolutely ridiculous. He moved across the track in the braking zone and caused damage to another ar causing them to have to pit. How is that not a slam dunk?

Lurker here, forgetting the glorious sprint bro.

True I forgot that gimmick. That's another 8 pts. Plus my maths was a bit off so he has a 104 lead not a 102. That means outscoring Leclerc by 5 and Perez by 3 would give him a 109 lead with 108 remaining.

Perez gets a reprimand and a 5 second penalty. Keeps win.

There are 2 things left on my season check list.

1. Perez winning Mexico (can you imagine how insane the podium would be, plus he deserves it)

2. Hamilton to lose his win every season record the cock suckers are still hanging on to.

For me, the most exciting part of the Singapore Grand Prix was the aesthetic combination of the night-time setting, the lights, and the clouds of water vapour off the grid, coupled with the prospect of the race yet to unfold. Sadly, it never really took off after that. A lot of steady drives were overshadowed by other drivers over-reaching. Hamilton and Verstappen were both fortunate to finish the race. I am kind of glad that this wasn't the performance that clinched the championship.

The stewards had ample time to make a call on Checo, prior to the end of the race. Why they didn't on something that is objectively measurable is beyond me. I am more annoyed with Checo. He very nearly threw away a win through nothing more than an unforced error on his part.

I missed out big time. A kino race, Hambone getting buckbroken and Checo getting the win... it doesn't get much better than that.

Here's hoping Max has enough championship points to lock in the 2022 WDC prior to Mexico and RBR/Max rewards Checo for his outstanding work as designated #2 driver.

The only downside I can see is that around 50% of r/formula1 would die of sodium poisoning from all the salt. Then again is that really a downside?

Yep. The worst that could possibly happen would be a repeat of Australia '91. The race held the record for the shortest F1 GP in history until Belgium '21.

Definitely. Them tiptoeing around on full wets but still trying to keep enough heat in, deciding when it was time for inters, deciding again later if slicks were worth the gamble. It could have had everything but the FIA cucked out once again and refused to race until it was ready for inters.

What even is the point of full wets? If it's ever bad enough for them they delay the race or red flag it until they can use inters.

Sky F1 should hire pajeets to replace some of their commentators. They'd do a better job than Crofty or Kravitz.
The Blowies cock sucking was at an all time high yesterday, it was so damn annoying. After Hambone whined about "the wrong tires", they were covering for him pretending he was discussing new vs. used inters, when he obviously wanted wets because he's useless when he gets slightly less grip than he wants. Then the faggot kept complaining about Sainz being slow. Motherfucker, you're in a race. It's not Sainz's job to help you. If he's slow, overtake him. But he proved Alonso's remarks at SPA to be absolutely correct this race.

I'm kind of conflicted because I should enjoy the success of my team more, but haven't felt as much joy watching F1 in years as I felt when he collided with the barriers after his incessant whining. It really felt like he was getting what he deserved. And his failure with Vettel was just the cherry on top.

Max fans will be a bit miffed, but I also enjoyed Max's lock up when attempting to overtake Lando. Lando was like "I'm just gonna keep to myself and do my thing, it's not my fight" after holding him off for some time, because at that point he knew Max had a big straight line speed advantage. He didn't even try to stop him, just kept to his line. Max was rattled after Alonso held him off for so long, and he was worried Lando would do the same, even though race conditions had changed, so he pushed too far and made a mistake. It was refreshing to see.

Have you missed Karun Chandhok's blinding insights or are you repressing them due to the trauma?

(Admittedly when it's those three Karun's the smart one in the room....)

Hambone wrecking into the barrier was the funniest part of the race. It wasn't a clip, he didn't get forced wide, nothing. It was a Lance Stroll-style massive running out of talent lockup.
