I'm going to go for something creative: they forget who is on what strategy and call in the wrong car.
I'll be honest, when I turned on qualifying and saw de Vries in the Williams I legit thought they had just given up on Latifi.

Just imagine De Vries gets 10 place or so and ends up above Latifi, despite only running in one race. Fuck me, I think even without points, if he ends up 11th he would end up above Latifi

Hülkenberg drove the first two races for AM and he classified above Latifi until Silverstone, where Latifi got 12th place.
I'm almost hoping Hülkenberg takes another ride for AM, gets 11th, so the two backup drivers outrank Latifi.
Latifi is a laughingstock, has there been a worse driver in the past 10 years of F1? He should go to FE and become a champion in that clowncar series. Or change his name to Nicola and drive in W series.

If testing counts, Nissany and Lord Mahaveer. I'd argue Mazespin was on his level too.
He's probably going to fail his way into a pay ride for some Indy backmarker team like Juncos, Carpenter or Foyt and fight with Jimmie Johnson for 23rd place every week.

Max Chilton. Such a perfect example of an obviously bad driver that even SKY who normally praise all British drivers regardless of merit couldn't get excited about. Never did anything, never won a single series in junior formulas, gained his seat purely from having massive backing. Fucked off to Indy, where he did what he usually does which is finishing last.

The way I see it Latifi's career in F1 is over. That car isn't half as slow as he keeps driving it. De Vries had all of what, a half hour to get the car figured out? Guy probably didn't know what all the buttons do yet. And he still outqualified Latifi after getting a lap deleted in his first ever qualifying session. His performance today is just icing on the cake. He could go bowling on the start and take out half the field and I would still say he's better than Latifi, because at least he would have an excuse.
If he gets a points finish? It'd be like Mazapin coming in 21 out of 20 drivers all over again.

Its sucks that F1 isnt based like nascar Vips is very fast and should have a F1 seat but said some gamer words so he will probably be an indy car driver in a year or two. Its honestly crazy to me that half the countries they race in have no problem with what he said but F1 has to be "politically correct" unless they are in the middle east.

In the GP build-up on youtube he was talking with Gasly and Stroll and mentioned that he changed the brake balance between turns 1 and 2. They cut to a different camera before he finished talking so I don't know all the details but it sounded like he did it by accident.
Feel bad for the guy if he really ruined his short-notice qualy outing by holding down a button in the heat of the moment

I haven't kept up with it in a long while but NASCAR hasn't been based for years, they utterly cucked to Bubba Wallace. After he cried enough and they banned the battle flag from races, he shat his pants when he saw a rope pull handle in his randomly assigned garage. He sperged out and announced that racist fans had broken into the garage and placed a noose there to intimidate him. Before the FBI even showed up to investigate, NASCAR put out a statement immediately blaming those "problematic" fans that don't like Bubba cause hes black-ish.
Brandon Brown, the driver who unintentionally inspired the Lets Go Brandon chant, is treated like he's radioactive because somehow they think they'll get better appeal in markets like the Northeast and the West Coast if they quietly ignore the Fuck Joe Biden guy. But don't worry, Bubba is still going to be tooling around in 20th in his BLM car.
In short: NASCAR management is shit and is still fucking with their core audience while trying to appeal to people in makets that don't care.
This is exactly the kind of shit I'm talking about. He fucked up the balance because he forgot what slider did what, fucked up a stellar lap, and still beat the guy who's been at Williams for three years.

Indycar would have thrown the red flag and let the race finish under green. Ferrari miraculously didn't fuck the strategy, they just don't have an answer to Max's speed.
Hella big props to Nyck for scoring points in a car he didn't know he was going to be driving on Friday afternoon. If Williams don't really need the money like they say, there is zero excuse to keep Latifi around. He's finished.

The Brandon Brown situation is just fucking weird. I get that NASCAR nixed the weird "let's go brandon" crypto deal but like... It's not even his fault, why are sponsors staying away?
Bubba on the other hand has a massive lineup of sponsors, that's the other reason why he's still there despite lack of talent. Including one massive defense contractor.

The only reason he tried for the crypto thing is that sponsors won't touch him. IF someone signs with him all the news outlets are going to run headlines that go along the lines of "[BRAND] has signed a sponsorship deal with controversial "Lets go Brandon" driver." Then there it is, your company's name tied to Fuck Joe Biden and there's nothing you can do about it

Well, I think it's over for Ferrari. They ran a perfect race, no screwups, no explosions, and still lost to Max.
It is also over for Latifi. If I was Williams I'd fire him right now. Someone with less points than a late replacement who has run a grand total of one race in the car doesn't deserve to keep his seat. Plain and simple.
I saw somewhere that Bubba Wallace has more sponsorship money than Chase Elliott, the actual most popular driver and a former champion. Total clown stuff. Despite what the internet shills will tell you, there's proportionally no more blacks/gays/women/insert label here watching Nascar than there ever were.

The clowns running Nascar desperately want a "diverse audience" for the ESG money so they've done everything but outright say that the white rural Southern fans who have supported them for decades are evil and they don't want them watching.
