What is with Red Bull eating their tyres today? that is interesting. Maybe too much focus on the sprint? Leclerc said he is very optimistic for today

What is going on with the track limits today?
Ridiculous amounts of scrutiny, but it seems to be fucking over just about everyone equally.

That fight in the midfield was amazing. Fantastic even.
A definite highlight, especially considering how well everyone's handling themselves. Aside from Lando, that is, but he's coping with an apparently quite worn engine.

Alonso rally driving too.

A little bit of cheek towards Yuki too once he made it past. What a guy. Can't not love him.

Maybe it's the drivers rebelling over the track limits: If everyone gets a 5 second penalty then no one gets one.

Where are they picking up all these track limits infractions? Is it turn one?

Seb got shafted by Pierre there. Mental that when George did it earlier it was just a 5 second penalty.

Where are they picking up all these track limits infractions? Is it turn one?

Charles got them mainly on the last couple of turns. Seems to be the first and last turns that are mainly getting at people, but this is a really odd track to start making strict calls on; It's so small that I think they're fighting the car to properly hold it together, and they usually lose a LOT of pace taking it 'properly.'

Latifi did not earn a single point the 2020 season. I think you are referring to the 2021 season where he got seven points.

Until Mazepin showed up, everyone bitched about Latifi being a dangerous, slow idiot that shouldn't be on the track.

People act like Mazepin was what is wrong with F1. He is the symptom.

A thing I think would be interesting to do is for F1 to do a charity race with just every driver doing qualifying and racing on the same exact make and model shit box. Like a Toyota Corolla. Don't let the teams redesign shit. Standard tyres. All of it the same.

That is where you will learn which drivers are actually the best. But it would never happen.
Bring back IROC, with more F1 drivers.

The current nu-IROC, SRX, would be hilarious to put some F1 guys in.

They went absolutely nuts on it last year at this track too.
It feels worse this time around, for some reason. But maybe it's just because I have a few strange calls in the back of my mind, so it's making me a bit biased. That and the FIA's attempts to tighten things up, I mean.
