Mick passed lewis hahahaha
At least for now, Chuckie is catching up to AMX, Jorj is dropping from the back, and Mick is making another solid drive where he beat Ham. Fantastic. Maybe this will be some quality kino.

A shame that we didn't see any of that on the cameras, because the direction is truly dismal again, but hopefully it'll show up later.

man i bet the FIA loves all those flairs

I think it's still Sky getting upset at the RB fans booing/cheering at Merc drivers, particularly when Lewis and George crashed. As if that's not something that's massively overblown because that's just what fans do at sporting events anyway.

Ah, acme beat me to it. That's pretty awful either way, but I've heard way less from the commentary about that than the booing, despite that seemingly being way more of an actual problem.

The smoke grenades are really annoying though, I'll give them that, but Crofty doesn't seem to particularly care for any issues that don't specifically impact Merc drivers.

Not good. Red meat for the media who'll be loving being able to write a 'the toxic masculinity of motorsport' article.

So you're not only saying that Kimi is a bad driver, but also disregard that Vettel had most overtakes last season? Go watch the supercut of them and tell me those (bar one) weren't absolutely marvelous examples of good driving. Same this season in Monaco, did you even see how Vettel got past Zhou?

I seriously do not get the kind of criticism Vettel gets, when he's the only driver that ever came close to threaten Hamilton before 2021. It's the same with people bitching about the 2018 spin in Germany. It was a bad day for Vettel cause he lost out on a race win in front of his home crowd, but by the end of the season, the difference in points meant that the race itself was entirely irrelevant. In the last 10 races, he still reached podium 6 times, yet Hamilton won most races cause the Merc simply was unbeatable in that entire decade.

And then we have these small nagging aspects like Vettel having a couple of records under his belt to this day.

He's not "the best ever", but people bitching about him not being good usually just talk out of their ass or they are completely braindead tifosi, that rank beneath the gunk between my toes in terms of value.
Ferrari wasted Vettel's time. That's what I pin the fall off of Vettel the most on, not the man himself, but the machine.

I'm not foolish enough to think it'll stick, but the fact that Looloo got passed by Mick in a Haas just have the Twitter fags seething.

Good overtake for Charles. This TV direction is ass

It definitely feels like we're missing out on a lot. But so far, it's looking good for Ferrari. Ferrari-engined cars in general, considering RB seems to have made a fucky wucky and George has, for some reason, decided to start driving like a maniac.

All these track limits warnings though; Surely if practically everyone's getting warned about it, then it's more a problem with the stringency of it rather than just the drivers taking too many chances?

what do you mean ferrari is on "plan E"????
E for Echo Exposed, perhaps? Maybe they're going to have him play defence when Charles inevitably has to pit. Then again, that makes too much sense.

Oh, shit, a great, clean midfield fight. That was a good watch, especially with so many cars so close in it.

HAM got a lap deleted too, he's screaming about it on radio

This is "horrible, disgusting behavior?" I've seen worse at Applebee's!

These redditors should never go to Talladega because the shock would probably kill them.

The 2020 Williams was a shitbox. Latifi somehow got a few points despite that and only had 3 DNFs. Three. Also, Latifi finished last merely 3 times, while being somewhere in the lower midfield the rest of the times. The 2021 Haas was a shitbox, still Mick somehow managed to keep up with the backmarkers throughout a huge chunk of the season and finished ahead of a driver from another team 8 times, while Mazepin finished dead fucking last 10 times and didn't even finish 6 more races.
Latifi did not earn a single point the 2020 season. I think you are referring to the 2021 season where he got seven points.

Until Mazepin showed up, everyone bitched about Latifi being a dangerous, slow idiot that shouldn't be on the track.

People act like Mazepin was what is wrong with F1. He is the symptom.

A thing I think would be interesting to do is for F1 to do a charity race with just every driver doing qualifying and racing on the same exact make and model shit box. Like a Toyota Corolla. Don't let the teams redesign shit. Standard tyres. All of it the same.

That is where you will learn which drivers are actually the best. But it would never happen.

I didn't see all of the Russell/Perez incident, was it egregious enough to warrant an investigation?

Still a bit worried about the pit strategy Ferrari seem to have went with. But it seems to be paying off? They MIGHT have called a two stop strategy perfectly, and it may even end up better for them, seeing that Max is having so much trouble with his car.

Another gain for Mick, he's ahead of Kevin now in a surprisingly strong move, fucking fantastic. Glad to see him pushing himself.
