Hamilton seriously talking about the importance of teamwork? To him teamwork is 'nerds build the fast machine that gets me more celebrity event invites and if it doesn't go fast enough they did something wrong'.

"F1's superbowl", OK tell me in what way this is like a superbowl. It's in America, any others? Does that mean the British GP is "F1s grand national"? Or maybe the Canadian GP is "F1's Stanley Cup"? How about the Saudi Arabian GP being "F1's stoning a rape victim for adultery"...

Was Miami the replacement for the Russian Grand Prix after the Ukraine stuff happened?

Calling something in F1 a 'Superbowl" is not just a really stupid misnomer, it's an outright demotion. The Superbowl, after all, is just a regional championship.

Nope, this was in the makings for some time. F1 will replace Russia with an established track in China or Malaysia, but they can't hammer out a new track in such short time.

So place your bets now, how many red flags and prolonged safety cars? As we've seen in earlier sessions they're pretty slow at clearing shit up and cars crashing are guaranteed to be right in the way so no double yellows.

I'm embarrassed by the Miami track. There are so many great historic American race tracks to choose from, yet they picked a parking lot. If they wanted a Miami GP, they could have done a street circuit by one of the marinas or through downtown or through the port. If they wanted a Floridian GP, they could have picked Sebring. Anywhere but a stadium in the middle of a subdivision.

No need to when you can make a fake marina and play "look we're like Monaco honsetly".

"Hey look celebrity you never heard of, hey look celebrity I think is someone else, hey look someone no one has ever heard of, oh by the way 2 cars won't be taking the start..."

I hate these American races because the actual sport always takes the back seat.

I assume, there will be one red flag, one safety car.

Oh... and Aston Martin starting from the pitlane due to some fuel temperature shenanigans. Fml.

I have to say, for a parking lot track, it's somewhat decent tbh. But there's a shitton of better venues and I personally would love to see F1 cars go down the Laguna Seca corkscrew. Man, that'd be tight.

The problem with Leguna Seca is the main straight would need widening and the corkscrew elevation change reprofiling to be able to host F1 so you just know they would fuck it up. That plus it's a bit out the way for logistics purposes, lots of shit to ship.

Good to know it's going to be a drs drive by day. I was worried we might have drivers actually having to work for their overtakes.

The track designers obviously know their audience.

I'm getting lowkey Caesar's Palace GP vibes from this race. Not sure if it's the the track or the atmos (probably a bit of both).

Latiffi dead last and hasn't even pitted yet. There's pay drivers and then there's Lattifi.

Hamilton is crying about tyres on the radio, Mark it off your bingo card (or is it the free space by now?)

That was nice by Stroll slowing Magnussen right down on the apex so Seb could get him on the straight.

Hambone fans get your cope ready because he's about to be beaten by his team mate again.
