Heartbroken by all this, but I think I'm more pissed by them constantly referring back to a driver in 14th place rather than the WDC hopeful trying to claw some places up, Lando pushing against the Podium, the Aston Lorry getting points or literally anything else.

These new graphics suck. When they hilight the drivers on the screen we lose the time between them, you know the most important bit of information for the battle.

I don't know, man, I think it's pretty important to inexplicitly switch over to showing a car's number every few laps. Who watches F1 for things like 'tyre age' and 'actually knowing who's ahead' anyway?

It's a shame Ocon can't get a 5 second gap to Lewis for an ultimate buck breaking weekend.

I like how Moto GP does it, insert a line between the 2 riders to show time.

Well, that was interesting. At least it shows once again how underperforming Hamilton actually is, especially when compared to our boy Russell

27 point difference in the championship. We needed something to happen to close it up. Not really bothered which of the two win but I want a close one at least.

Toto grovelling to king nigger over the radio about how the car is 100% the cause of his shit performance even though his teammate managed 4th and held off a much faster Bottas for a few laps.

Pretty decent race, another short spell of rain in the end might have been a nice addition to shake things up, but oh well.
Really glad for Vettel and AM, they got a few points and their performance was acceptable.

I'm so sorry for Spanish fans, Sainz out, Alonso out, a damn shame. Leclerc spinning in the last phase of the race also a damn shame, but at least that'll keep things a little more interesting in the WDC and Lando really earned the podium. Quite strange how laid back it is to watch this sport, when the top 6 drivers all are such nice people, you don't mind whoever wins and feel sorry for everyone if something bad happens to them.

Also, dang, should have kept my stupid trap shut about Mick. I still don't know if he just spun on his own or if there was some contact/someone evading the Ricciardo/Sainz/Bottas situation that made Mick spin off the track and hit Alonso. A damn shame, but there's going to be many more races where he can shine.

'lewis thrives in these conditions'
'lewis has made a great start gaining positions'
They actually said that?

My.
Fucking.

Yeah, Hamilton did show the extent of his skills as a driver. They aren't all they are cracked up to be, really.
I said last year, Hamilton sucks at wheel-to-wheel racing and it shows now. Midfield is a fierce battleground, where all cars are somewhat similar in performance and tiny actions can have huge effects.
The German commentators also remarked on how stupefied Hamilton must be to find himself in the midfield and try to fight his way up the foodchain without a car with a "built-in advantage".
Hamilton couldn't get past Gasly, while his teammate at least managed to hang on to 4th place for crying out loud. Merc will need to pool their effort on Russel out of sheer necessity.
Seethe. Cope. Dilate.

also inb4 another round of "Merc hates blacks, that's why they now push Russel and give Hamilton a shitty car on purpose"-comments on social media.
Hamlestier-fanboy tears of utter misery sustain me.
Oh look without DRS drivers actually have to make overtakes work at other places on the track through skill and ability.
I didn't even realize DRS was disabled until the commentators mentioned it should be enabled. 35 laps without DRS and it was pretty decent racing... though it was on a wet to partially wet track, so that might effect the whole thing a little... but overall, no DRS was ok. Test it out without DRS for one race and see what happens, I say.

I also noticed that they predominantly show the intervall to the leader instead of the gap to the guy in front, which is super inconvenient, when you need to know how far off someone is from the DRS window. It's only ever convenient when the time for pit-stops comes around, but even then you can just run a quick tally of individual gaps to guess where a driver would end up after a pitstop.

Still wondering how dildo man didn't get at least a 5 second penalty for his best Osama Bin Laden impression on Sainz. Fucking asshole ruined my fantasy team.
Please sky fire half these jokers and use that money to offer Brundel money to do every race he can't possibly say no to.

Fire the pair of these morons and find someone who knows the first thing about commentating the sport.
C4 has the better commentators, if you're willing to put up with 22 highlights and only 1 live race.

First lap Incidents usually get more leeway. It looks like they both tried to leave room for eachother but he got a bit of oversteer from the curb and wet track which meant correcting into Sainz. Being dropped to last (and finishing there presumably with damage) seems like punishment enough.

Lewis' interview the interviewer already made all the excuses possible for Hambones shit performance before hambone even opened his mouth. Why the fuck, challenge him make him make excuses then challenge them, that is how you do an interview.

Hamilton finishing behind a Williams is hilarious to me. As long as he flusters and Russell continues to outperform him, I'm happy.

In all seriousness though, this looks to be a pretty fun season. There are definitely some front-runners but it also seems like even the worst cars are somewhat competitive and can have a halfway acceptable result a few times a year.

So true.

It is strange watching the Championship play out as Max is my favourite driver, but I also like Le Clerc a lot too and also have a soft spot for Ferrari, so I get conflicted as to who to cheer for.

What's interesting after this race is whether or not Red Bull's pace advantage was track specific, temperature specific or their upgrades were better than Ferrari's upgrades.

This question was put to Le Clerc after the race and as he rightly said, at this stage it is impossible to know.

It may well be that Ferrari dominate in the next race in Miami.

Bet365 have both Charles and Max at $2.00 to win the championship, which is fair enough at this stage.

Currently on suicide watch after panic-selling Max last week.Oh well, I guess i'll go with him again and get Mcclaren. They might end up doing decently in the midfield the rest of this season.

Just got back from the autodromo guys.
It was wonderful, cheery crowds a festive aura around the entire event.

It was fucking great.
I even got some videos close to the track but I don't know if I can share them without making all my personal info known (I am shit at opsec).

Got really bummed by leclerc not being on the podium but the fact that he managed a sixth place shows to me that the guys at least wants to fight for it so it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes.

Also lol at the fact that hamilton got stuck behind latifi for a while.
As everyone as said the dude is great with a car that gives him the upper hand, otherwise he gets overtaken by people with much more grit and more skill.

He basically got used to being handed win after win and to see his ego take the blow was a great pleasure.

I'm agonizing on if I should drop Sainz. When he's good he's good, but this streak of crashing out in the first five laps is killing me.
