I hope so, but they have made some changes to the layout of the track for this year.
FIA mandated that there be installed a bollard on every straight that will automatically shoot from the ground if a blue-and-red car approaches and only withdraw in front of black cars with a star logo. FIA said it would improve track safety.

Now I understand what she meant. The amount the common man makes compared to the 1% is just ridiculous. Someone will buy a Pokemon card for $36000, or buy a banana taped to a wall for a 150K, or a guy gets a three year contract to play baseball...for $140 million (I remember when the first $1 million contract was signed by someone (40 years ago or so IIRC).

Fun fact: the first MLB player to make $1m/yr was arguably the most legendary pitcher of the modern era: Nolan Ryan. So at least it wasn't some one-year wonder chump that goes into active retirement as soon as his deal kicks in.

The Saudi race was absolutely farcical, and Masi & the stewards made it worse with their bizarre decision making. Very disappointing.

It feels like MB found an edge at Brazil and have been notably faster (at least race pace) than RBR since. If it plays out with MB cruising to a final easy-mode double championship in the era that has favored them so completely... well, that's sad for the sport. Especially with Hamilton turning into LeBron Jr as his star rose. Whiny and sanctimonious is always a bad look for a guy that's truly lived the dream.

I guess we get a reset in 2022, so hopefully things are more competitive going forward.

Merc had a new sponsor for all of one week, something to do with a fire and a building

It's beyond silly.

But I do like that Toto claims that they actually wasted precious time talking to Kingspan about a house fire that (terrible as it might have been) is so utterly irrelevant for this decision, it's the second biggest lie Mercedes have ever told.
The biggest one being that they enjoy fighting for the title against a competitor that can actually keep up with their bullshit car

Let's see what sky F1 is talking about in the run up to the exciting finale, I'm sure it will be balance... oh.

How is it Max's fault that the blessed dipshit supposed goat doesn't know how to overtake another car unless his engineer tells him to? If Hamilton had half the ability they credit him with he wouldn't have been up behind Max to hit him when he braked.

(Of course the Schumacher they're referring to is the irrelevant one turned bullshit spewer as usual when you see a "Schumacher says" headline)

Tough question for next season, do we want merc to totally shit the bed with their 2022 car sending that fuckwit to perpetual back marker status or do we want them to make a great car so Russell has a shot at the championship (and in doing so showing dickhead to be decidedly mediocre)? I'm going with shit the bed personally, as much as I like Russell he'll never be allowed to race king tosser on equal terms.

Well, 10 seconds is the hardest they can go without outright diqualifying him I think. You can't give grid penalties for this kind of infraction... though I still stand by what I said: I see the fault primarily with Hamilton. Does the steward document mention whether Max actually braked or not? Didn't seem like it to me tbh, just going off the gas will make the car slow down like it threw out an anchor.
He did brake according to telemetry and the stewards, but it's wrong to look at it without context. He was doing everything he could to get Hambone to overtake before the DRS zone, slowing down and braking numerous times before the incident. He was just very unfortunate to try his last hand at forcing the overtake by braking at the exact same time as Hambone finally decided to overtake him and accelerated, which caused the collision. It was all just stupid DRS "strategising" by the both of them.

And I'm feeling down fam, last Kimi race. We'll never see a drunk driver at the helm of an F1 car ever again, and an amazing one to boot.

Some more good Williams news. Thanks to a recent rule tweak they can take part in the end of year tests they were previously excluded from due to not having a 2022 mule.

The MURDER KERBS from Losail and Osterreichring are back due to the track renovations and the best bit is Pirelli didn't know about it and the tire selection is the 3 softest.

i'd say it's still advantage mercedes even though it seems that the brazil rocket engine is not as dominant. Hamilton very easily kept with verstappen on hards

Yeah I've resigned myself to hearing about the blessed idiot being the goat and how he had to fight really hard for it blah blah blah after he wins.

Whereas it's a case of a lot of luck (and some shenanigans) keeping the gap tight and that merc being unbeatable in the last 1/3 of the season. I still think the FIA need to pull that engine apart, it's dodgy they put a new engine in and all of a sudden he's flying past other merc powered cars on all the straights. None of Bottas (or any other merc powered driver)'s got anywhere near that level of boost from a new unit.

My call is that Hamilton wins the title, the Mercs just seem to have that extra step now and RB can’t fight it.

Agree, I'm also tempted to remove Max from my fantasy team since I have a feeling a Jerez '97 is to happen.

Also something I was saying about Nico when he was at Merc regarding Hamilton remixed for the new generation in 2022.

Reddit can be funny sometimes...

Also MURDER KERBS are shedding paint making them slippy, I suggest stay in the white lines...

Edit: temptation to double post rising, Russell's helmet for FPs. Is Kiwi one of us?

Look at how the team like him. Could he do a Button and pull the team away from Lewis?

Considering how Lewis has openly said that he looked at a picture of his team and was disappointed at how white they were I’m not surprised that his crew seemed willing to jump to someone else when given the chance. Having an ego is well and good but at least know when to pay tribute to the people who, y’know, are largely responsible for that success.

And I hate that...

If you focus on skin colour sure it's not 'diverse' (when compared to London, Northamptonshire is 90%+ white and then you have to factor in people who go into engineering) but when you look closer you have man and woman, young and old and black, red and yellow. Some have even been there since Mika while others are new additions.

And these are lovely people and any criticism of them makes me want to power level.

"Hey Lewis, check this out, this is a photo of the team that made you a record breaking 7 times world champion by providing you with an unbeatable car for a decade."
-"Awefully white, this team, innit?"

Never change, King Dipshit.
