Why can't F1 just be as daft as Motorsport Australia are, with going to Mount Panorama (Bathurst) for the 1k this year and bringing every support series imaginable:
Dunlop Super 2 Series, Porsche Carrera Cup, Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Series, TCR Australia, Touring Car Masters, S5000, GT World Challenge Australia, V8 SuperUtes and Trans Am.
The S5000 especially draws my attention being an open wheel formula with the old screamer engines, there's a lot of parts of that track where I would be
scared in one of those. And fucking Trans Am, a historically purely American series that barely crossed the border north, sanctioned by the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) and has squandered in obscurity since it's glory days of the 60s through 80s.
Doesn't even have to be a historic or legacied American track, The Ridge out in Washington state opened in 2012 and I've loved every bit of racing I've seen there, Pocono's infield road course makes up for something brilliant - admittedly I've only seen it in old sports cars in that case.
Also for reference, here's F1's simulated on-board lap to demonstrate how super cool Miami is going to be, and no amount of sarcastically using a smiling emoji can suitably communicate how I feel about it.

For your viewing pleasure, I bring you a race from just the other week at VIR, as ever IMSA providing great entertainment on these American tracks that those outside of the States would never otherwise hear of because oval racing is viewed as being all there is in the US.
