Florida Man Drinks 20 Beers - Tried to get children to touch him

Police say a Florida man would drink up to 20 beers before bringing children into his home and try to convince them to touch him inappropriately.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office arrested Arthur Leo Proulx, 51, after he allegedly made sexual advances towards two boys, ages 6 and 7, multiple times.

WKMG reports the boy's mother allowed her children to go to Proulx's mobile home in Silver Springs to play or use his computer. However, the boys told their mother they no longer wanted to go after Proulx had made sexual advances.

The boys told authorities Proulx would say things like, "Can I please touch your inappropriate spot?" According to the boys, they refused his request.

Proulx admitted to deputies that he would drink 18 to 20 beers before seeing the children and couldn't remember what happened. He went on to imply the boys were probably telling the truth because he has "bad thoughts."

Proulx was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct.

Goddammit, I had the same reaction.

Couldn’t he have just gone and won wrestling matches against a swamp’s worth of alligators instead or something? :(
 
I was going to say "that's not that big of a deal I've done that too" but then I clicked on the thread and read the rest of it.

Well, he may be a pedophile but at least he isn't a liar. Honestly counts for something I guess.
 
I thought this was going to be a nice, wholesome story about crippling alcoholism.
 
There's tons of Florida Mans who drink twenty beers and don't go around perving on kids. How dare this monster try to besmirch the good name of drinking twenty beers!
 
Even after 20 beers, he knew what he was asking for was inappropriate. More self awareness than most pedophiles.

Ah, come on. I've drank like 15 beers in a single night along with shots. Yeah, I didn't feel very good the next day, but you really have to drink beer really fast to get alcohol poisoning from it.

I'm sure a big fat dude with years of tolerance could do that no problem every day. Until he dies of liver failure, of course.

Sounds like he was self medicating. Always a bad idea.
 
Now I know to stop after 19 beers so I don't ask any kids to touch me.
