Sounds like /b/. People always try to hype their bona fides by bringing up /pol/ and /b/, but nobody ever says "i was on /v/ when it was comfy and people talked about video games sometimes." Outside of bots and ragebait, the site succumbed entirely to mlm style schemes. Movies, games, tv, products, supplements, fashion, literature, and politics. All of it just got eaten by man in the crowd marketing, BBC, tranny stuff, and pure ragebait.

I know the subtitle's a joke alluding to several whistleblowers suddenly "killing themselves" and the subsequent meme of conspiracy theorists clarifying they're not suicidal, but I wouldn't be suprised if Flesh actually died of a True and Honest suicide rather than getting CIA'd. I don't think he has blown a whistle on anything that already wasn't public (albeit forgotten) information in his videos afaik.

I used to browse 4chan for years before signing up here about a year ago when it got hacked. It was really, really bad and I barely think about it anymore. It was just porn porn porn contrarianism porn porn porn. There was almost no sincerity to be found anywhere and everything moved so fast it felt pointless to post because it was gone in just a few hours (not to mention endless/unsolvable captchas). I really don't think it was just the mods who were responsible for that site's steady decline in overall quality. I remember that site being much better when I discovered it around 2007, but that era is never coming back.
I had a job that required me to be bored at 4am and I was using 4chan constantly during the end of trump 1. I was on pol as an election tourist and even there they would have weird covert advertising for escort services and of course people would also spam porn. Around this time it was mostly doom posting about COVID and how everyone was going to be dead.
I just am extremely skeptical of anyone talking about it lovingly. They never have any reason it was "good". It was pointless bullshit. Everyone who ever used it for more than 10 hours will tell you it sucked. It has always sucked. Any board that moves fast is full of retards, slow boards you can say are pleasant though. You heard a lot of larpers back in the day, hell even now, say shit like "yeah I like the gun/hiking/retro game subred- i mean... Board!" And it's like yeah. But also it's just a subreddit.
