I'm just happy they got Lillard back. Say what you want about the first movie, but I've never seen him phone in a performance. Even in a badly scripted kids movie about killer pizza mascots, the dude went for it there at the end.

Man, I totally forgot about him. Having a fangame ripped from you couldn't have happened to a more deserving asshole.
Wait, did phisnom willingly drop fnaf + or was it taken away from him? I always thought he used the drama as en excuse to back out

What was funnier about the whole fnaf + situation is that some guy LostPawPlay who may be ESL made a fnaf + by ripping the teaser assets Phisnom revealed. After Phil’s fateful spergout the former released his full build of the game, which was apparently Ceased and Desisted by Scott himself because of the AI phone calls in the game. Scott even contacted big name fnaf YouTubers to take down their videos about the fanmade fnaf + aswell.

He said he "lost the project" so it's pretty clear Scott took it from him.
According from Phisnom’s bitching pre-firing he said he did have the finished game on file but delayed the release date by one day everytime someone asked him when would the game be out, and would turn into a V-tuber streaming for lengthy amount of hours around a year before the drama. One can infer he began streaming after he finished it and was waiting out to spite people. He must’ve refused to give it to Scott, deleted it out of spite or lied about it which I don’t think he would do all this stuff to keep the act up unless to siphon Scott bucks even though he already has a streaming hustle. Then again Kane Karter and Emil Macko are 5 years and counting on a remake of an existing fnaf fangame and they only have gotten a handful of scrimblo bimblo spinoff games so god knows what goes on in there.

Phisnom always came across as a retard in all honesty. He tries way too hard to be "edgy" it's honestly kind of ironic that he clearly enjoys spiting people despite having paper thin skin himself.
Something something, those in glass houses.

Man, I miss when the games in this series were still like, small. Scott just kept pumping them out constantly, there was almost always something new going on. Not all of it was great, sure, but now barely anything goes on with the series anymore aside from shitty books.

The charm and simplicity went away as soon as the games became free-roaming. Now it's all about trying to do bigger/better things while failing to realize what made the clickteam games so good in the first place.

That, and trying to staple "OC Donut Steel" content onto the original story doesn't help either. That to me says these games aren't confident enough to hold their own and were doomed to fail from the get-go.

I dunno I still think there's potential for a good free roaming FNAF that they simply haven't cracked yet.
Personally I think it'd be interesting to have something where the security room is your only defense and maybe at certain points things happen or things break and you have to go fix them because Fazbear is too fucking stingy to hire a separate maintenance guy.
Maybe as the nights go on things break more frequently in addition to the animatronics becoming more aggressive.
You could theoretically hide from the animatronics until they lose interest but the best way to avoid them is to retreat to the security room. Or maybe have an animatronic that you can't hide from like Foxy where you HAVE to flee to the security room and close the door because he'll find you if you don't.
Idk I think it could work.
You could even have the secret lore shit hidden around you just have to go out of your way and risk yourself a little extra to find it.

It doesn't have to be some big grand adventure like Security Breach or Secret of the Mimic, you're just some random wagie stumbling upon things he's not supposed to see.

I far prefer the "sit and survive" mechanics than the free-roam shit. It felt way more tense when you could only delay the animatronics temporarily, rather than flee from them outright.

Also I guess this would go here since it's more positive, but yesterday a really well-made video was released of a "what if" remake of FNaF 2, complete with visual demonstration. Gonna just post it and the first video from earlier this year:

Like I think these would be fantastic if made into the real thing.

Yeah I love those videos. Such actually...nice retakes on the FNAF series based on what we got before and fleshing them out into something that makes sense, as well as hopefully no retarded concepts like Afton killing for the sole purpose to use Remnant for immortality or whatever....

I like to think this guy would be smarter than to do that, but we'll see. There are some vague hints that maybe these will be turned into real fangames if he can get the right help for it. Fingers crossed for that.

FNAF 2 movie trailer just dropped.

And now it's gonna be real. Sincerely more excited for this than anything officially FNaF related for years.

At least Im glad he didnt abuse the report system and just contacted the youtubers personally and asked them to take it down.

People enjoy this sort of "grounded" aspect of Scott, he doesnt act like a "holier than thou" celeb.

The paradoxical thing about "edgy" V-tubers is that you cant be actually edgy and a V-tuber. You can be a fucking PEDO and a V-tuber but not edgy. The reason is because to be edgy and a tough skinned attitude would require knowing when let things go or when to go absolutely nuclear and, unfortunately, thats not the "V-Tuber" thing to do because its ultimately a very "PC alligned" position. Sure, you can be "safe edgy" but thats not true edgy now, is it?
The beginning is confusing. Are they trying to incorporate elements from FNAF 4 as well with the nightmares and inside the house thing?

Considering FNAF 2 was really a prequel, it's odd they would try to make it a true sequel in movie-form.

The "prequel" twist worked in FNAF 2 given how vague and mysterious everything was (and lets face it, it wasnt hard to buy that the FNAF universe has more tech more akin to 2020's back in the 80's...tho only for animatronics, as FNAF 1 already had them being unrealistically advanced by being able to move around).

Nevermind that its not uncommon for sequels, even horror sequels, to eventually have an entry thats a prequel (twist or otherwise), usually exploring further some event mentioned in the original. So it didnt feel out of left field having a prequel.

It doesnt work much in movie form because of the very different framing devices. I have some some suggesting how a prequel to the movies could work but still, seems like they'll play safe.
