Sam sitting on his laptop in that season sucked and definitely was part of why that season wasn't the best but let's be honest, s4 kinda sucked.
S4 was pretty fantastic and high energy until it wasn't and it was due to wigger incompetence which like it or not, part of that is on Sam.

You're just dwelling on the negative because you're a fucker. Most Fishtank fans especially here on this site have this problem where they only like to remember the negatives of things, they never want to talk about the positives around the show.
You're kinda proving your own point right now

Talk about the good stuff mid-season. Dwell on the bad stuff forever hoping they don't do it again but knowing they will. People like to complain, it's easier to talk about. That's with everything.

You're not him. You have other things going on in life that can make you money, hopefully. Jet will likely never make Fishtank money again. It's his "baby" and he fosters the freaks of the community. He's personally responsible for how bad the S1 edits were at first and seems to have been delusional about how big Fishtank would be.
Oh for sure, I'm not really trying to defend Jet tbh, he keeps making the Fishtank brand look bad. I do think it's possible that the latest drama with Jet was just a lost in translation issue but he still shouldn't have been in that situation messaging with that girl in the first place. I guess you're right that Jet doesn't seem to have anything else to go to besides Fishtank.

But despite all of this you have fags that act like Sam is the problem even though Sam is the only thing Fishtank has going for it. Sam is mostly why Fishtank is so successful. If it was just Jet's show s1 would have had maybe 100 viewers on day 1 and that would have dropped to 25 viewers for the rest of the season.

Sam is some massive lynchpin responsible for everything that makes Fishtank good
He was the only reason anyone cared about the show to begin with. But it was made clear early on that it wasn't his show and his role became even less important season to season. Last time I paid any attention, his appearances got significantly high viewership than any other point of the show. However, it was often the only time anything was guaranteed to happen which was probably the main reason so many people tuned in.
Now the show has its own dedicated fan base and it's disconnected from MDE for the most part. The amount of of viewers probably wouldn't change if season 5 went on without Sam.

A guy who hasn't put out a video in years, and a loopy drug addict? I'm good. I already see enough of that phenotype on Fishtank.
Huh? IH has released videos. Just did a few weeks ago, and more on the incognito mode channel.
And Sseth's a drug addict? I haven't heard that anywhere.

There needs to be a balance for Sam appearances. The thing is, when Sam is invigorated and genuinely passionate about the project we get great moments when he's on screen. He's more likely to play that season's host caricature and is capable of coming up with on the fly catalysts for content. The problem occurs when Sam is used as a crutch rather than a means to elevate an already good show.

I've noticed that Sam ramps up his appearances when the show begins to falter after what I like to call it a content plunge. Think of it like a sudden drop in content generation usually (but not always) motivated by a valuable fish leaving. If the plunge is sustained and content never recovers to what it once was the wiggers will recruit a number of tactics to keep audience engagement from fading. One of these is the increased use of Sam, as his face is generally associated with content.

The problem with this is its a short-term fix. Sam, despite his orc appearance is human. The more time he spends on the show, the more bored and disinterested he becomes. He's no longer thinking about what he can do to keep the show stabilized, he's thinking about what he can do to keep himself entertained. This is when we see a ramp up in, "lmao what if we made the fish do xyz," slop. He gets lazy, stops playing his character, and does shit like sit around on a laptop, only intervening when the next shitty idea enters his mind.

Sam is the face of the show to both the audience and the fish, but that also comes with a lot of weight. If the fish (whether unaware or aware of Fishtank) see Sam taking the show seriously, they will take the show seriously. It's a classic psychological response of, "My authority figure/idol is doing this thing, so I should follow in his footsteps." But when Sam stops giving a fuck and just intermingles with the fish like he's one of them, it ruins this dynamic. The fish see he's laid back and uncaring, so they adjust to follow. Mid to late season two was filled with this issue.

And the wiggers then wonder why they're not taken seriously by the fish.

Honestly, reading Bullfrogbill post about how Fishtank wouldn't work without Sam is making me reconsider my stance about changing Fishtank host. You guys have to remember that Jet is responsible as a showrunner for S4. Sam mentioned this many times during the second investor stream.

As I see it, I think Sam really good at playing new characters and like to change things up a bit so each season we get different themes of Fishtank. Whether it's Jason, Jeremiah, The Duke, and Jeremy. I'm sure we can all agree that he was funny playing those character and can agree that those themes and characters was Sam's idea.

Now what did Jet do after Sam gave him the opportunity to direct Fishtank alone? did he do piratetank? spacetank? madmentank? No he did the most laziest thing and go back to season 1 but cranked the retardness to 11 cause he's a lazy bum. Other than being lazy, Jet made this decision because of Burt and Alex B. They were a great addition don't get me wrong but S3 was practically carried by them and they were a great source of income via TTS. Also during S3, I noticed that after the famous house reveal. Jeremy turned into Jason and got overshadowed by the cast. It seems like Sam didn't like playing old characters and went there as Jason, phoning it in half of the season just for the audience.

I think those two things I mentioned are the reason why S4 sucked. Instead of creating new ideas for the show. He was relying heavily on its cast to be entertaining instead of making good challenges and also failed to use Sam as one of the source of entertainment and the main character that compliments the show as a whole. The show ending early also didn't help things either

I also want to point out that Jet was in FT chat last night, high off galaxy gas fume, talking about how he want to improve FT merch. I remember distinctly how he was gonna release the shark suit in S1, how he was gonna improve on the quality of shark suit in S2, and on S3, showcased the new and improved shark suit with Jobe. This Balenciaga-brained wigger thinks he is a clothing designer and got his priority skewed.

TLDR: S4 is not an example of how bad Sam was as a host, its an example of how bad Jet was as a showrunner.

Supposedly they have Ellie with them trying to recruit whores to date the wiggers

Yeah people shouldn't be talking about kicking Sam off the show, they should be talking about kicking Jet off the show. As far as I can tell the best move for Fishtank to make is removing Jet from the show completely (most likely will never happen), putting Ben in Jet's role, and replacing Ben with Luke. Unfortunately Luke said that if Fishtank needs to move states that he won't be involved so that will probably never happen either.

Saying that Sam phones it in reeks of recency bias. I agree that he phoned it in on season 4, it was a phoned in season. No high concept twist, no elaborate gaslight etc. Jet called it back to the basics, but even season 1 tried to maintain an in-show fiction, and even that had more or less gone out the door, so it's hard not to feel like there was a sudden and immense drop in creative ambition compared to what that came before.
I imagine Sam was pretty bored.

To be completely fair, I feel like some of the apocalypse stuff was planned. Stox Market Collapse into Bunker RP into Fallout-styled "take back parts of the house" which would go into Bloodgames 2.

Let's not forget that as fun as it is to hate Groom Neptune and bash Jason Nestbuilder, we will never really know for sure thanks to Reddit Boomers.

So were several months removed from the show ending, who still thinks its coming back at some point?
I wanna know how Jet simping for Ellie benefits the progression for the next house? People are still paying for fishtank monthly and I guarantee they're dropping their subscription at this rate because there's no update from the official X account.
its a fucking business for Christ sakes! Stop trying to fuck your fans, as Null once said during his Mumkey Jones stream.
