You don’t understand man, season 4 being a clusterfuck of half-assed decisions and next to zero passion from Production, Sam included, was the theme. The joke was on the audience, isn’t that brilliant? Culture status? Advanced.

Despite production phoning it in like never before (especially Sam), S4 was still the best season until they left the first house. It really shows the importance of a good cast.

Anyway, Jet is pretty integral to the humor of the series. I'm not sure if anyone else can really bring that Fishtank feel in exactly the same way.
If someone else were to host, they'd have to make it their own thing and not try to carbon copy that feel from previous seasons but they'd need to be motivated in the same direction.

BG2 or some other LARP thing would need to still be on the table between seasons, and Fishtank would still need to be more of a play than a true gameshow.
Perhaps someone else would be better at coming up with a realistic but engaging storyline. I honestly can't think of anyone amongst Sam's staff other than Jan that could feasibly do it, but even with Jan I could see him getting frustrated if his vision doesn't come together the way he wants. Whoever it would be, they need to be able to roll with ALL of the punches, of which there will be many.

i think harland williams should take over sam's role moving forward. not that that could ever happen, but i unironically think it would be a good role for him to be cast in.
alex stein offered to step in and take some work off of sam's plate, not sure how i feel about that but he seemed genuine and said he would talk to jet about it. (this was on his latest show with angelina if you didn't catch it)
