With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

I'll give Mauro one thing, at LEAST it was funny to watch him get hassled as payback for slapping Chris. I genuinely can't think of a single noteworthy thing Meg did. All she did was say "lol Dunkey lol Robux xDDD", cry, and then leave over 1/20th of Jimmy's powerlevel in harassing women. Someone like her being that into Roblox makes me wanna guess she's either one of those unfunny edgelords that says nigger and does roman salutes to 10-year-olds, or one of those condo players that grooms children.

This has some truth, but I wouldn't put that all on Meg. She left because she was afraid of what manchild Jimmy would do to her. Seeing how he was a few inches away from smacking Abi in the face with a mallet, her fear has plenty of credence. I think Meg had potential to be what they tried to make TJ to be, but before they could do that- Meg left.

Meg was never going to be anything. She was off her meds and withdrawn the entire time. She wasn't going to turn it around.

To be fair to Maejok I'm pretty sure he and Binx are actual friends and he's not just a garden variety simp. They hung out on the RV trip.
 
Overhated: Jon, Tayleigh, TJ, Binx, Mauro

Jon was shit all over by the fishtank chat during 2.5 and people were demanding him to get kicked daily because he was "ruining the game" (AKA giving all the other fish a hard time and making the show hilarious). I'm pretty sure he was one of the least endorsed of that season but was the star in my opinion.

I get why Tayleigh is disliked and have been a proponent of tayleigh bashing throughout 2 and 2.5 for one reason: She is cringe. The level of derangement people have for her is insane though. I think she was a strong competitor on s2 but actively made bloodgames worse by being a sourpuss. Hating on her was funny, as in just saying things like "soy dyke" whenever her face was on camera. Tayleigh is cringe kino and not as bad as people make her out to be. After her showing on bloodgames though, I don't think I want to see her back.

TJ gets a ton of hate because he was shoehorned into his contrived "arc" and won the show because of it. I also think the arc is gay, and TJ probably did not deserve to win season 2. TJ, however, is a strong competitor and can be very funny. Some great TJ moments include him eating all the disgusting "food" during swamp olympics and powtank without hesitation, his monologue about that ugly painting in the upstairs hallway, literally painting himself into a corner, his wrestling promo against Shinji, being drunk every morning, the wolf-man furry shit on bloodgames, etc. TJ doesn't get enough credit in my opinion and the way production forced him to victory is not his fault.

I think Binx stinks but she was hated for the wrong reasons during season 3. She lost endorsements and got a ton of shit via TTS for turning Burt against Simbal in the Cell by manipulating Burt in a state of paranoia, and also for betraying Burt and pinning the Brandon thing on him to save her own ass during Famous House 2. These were some of her best moments and the only real social game playing we've ever seen on fishtank. She also got a lot of hate for hooking up with Ling Ling, but Alex Stein was literally screaming in her face "WE WANT SEX!!!" and the idea of FH2 was a trashy frat-like reality show. Besides this though, Binx is boring and lame.

Mauro slept and read Halo for most of his time on season 1 but he still brought content occasionally. He had a huge blowup fight with Jon shortly before leaving during the baby challenge where he called him a retard. When he came back Alex Stein screaming in his face telling him not to leave was hilarious, and of course the famous slap on Chris and the Frank Hassle fallout the day after. Him fucking off to drink all day on bloodgames and not trying was lame, but also funny. His exit on bloodgames is one of the best that the show ever had. The fact that Mauro gets compared to Meg and Ian is unfair in my opinion. He was a part of some hilarious fishtank moments and its clear that if he gets pushed by somebody he will crash out and make content.

Underhated: Jimmy, Brian, Mizzy

People already explained why Jimmy doesn't get enough hate. He's a perpetual victim, a manipulator, and just an all around rotten guy. He is funny though. Top 5 fish without question.

Brian certainly gets a lot of hate but I see a lot of people retconning him after bloodgames, saying that he got too much hate in season 2. I implore you to watch the episodes of s2 and not hate Brian all over again. He was an annoying vibe killer. His performance on bloodgames is extremely overrated, he was just doing a bad impression of Nick Mullen doing an impression of Arthur Morgan and it was not funny.

Mizzy also gets a lot of hate but similar to Brian, she was retconned by the audience after she returned during the RV arc and then was the first to make a lot of fishtank related videos on youtube after the show. I think people tend to forget how little she participated and gave to the show when it came to bits or challenges. She was trying to get sent home for not participating for probably around 2 weeks before she left. Some examples of her refusing to participate and killing the vibe include the lie detector test where she wrote her answers on paper instead of saying them out loud and the triathlon for which her participation was screaming at people to eat more hotdogs while she refused to eat any because she "doesn't like them". She was still more interesting than Binx and Payton though and I thought she was fun to hate, sort of like a Tayleigh or a Simbal.
