Simbal has been hanging out with the short stacked italian. He is acting pretty good so far. Even seems normal and somewhat likeable. Top notch acting skills.

Quoting a post I made about Burt from a while back, but seeing him in "Famous House 2.0" really feels like the "labels"/"cerificates" aren't really points of pride so much as he is literally roleplaying as himself.

The way he casually throws out that he is a "bisexual sex worker" and "personal trainer" among other things comes across to me that it isn't an insecurity that he is massaging with the labels and certificates but his autism is that black/white that he finds the easiest way to "socialize" is to literally roleplay as some labels that he identifies with. It kind of feels like he might have done some roleplay during therapy to help with social skills and has continued using it as a tool for navigating real life and meeting people and forging connections with them.

He does it in a very pronounced and obvious way but it really isn't that difficult from the rest of the people on the show who are just roleplaying as various other things ("G" as the social media/influencer fag, Binx as the e-thot livestreamer chick etc).

It is too early to say now but maybe Burt's experience with roleplaying labels that are given to him will actually be a strength for him (Act 3 )in this act of Fishtank. Although roleplaying as a "bisexual sex worker" and "personal trainer" is awkward to other people, if there is one thing autistic people love, it is rules. They have now given him a set of rules and it might actually work out well for him.


(the only problem with my pet theory is that the name of the game of act 3 isn't to survive not fucking up that you haven't been in the house for the past month and seen all sorts of random, wacky-ass autism - it is to try and make sure that you don't get eliminated by the other fish. I guess he has to be endearing to the newfish)

Side question: Do "newfish" get to vote on eliminations? That will make it really interesting.
 
Burt is such a scene stealer.

He has the shield of being schizoaffective to explain away some of his awkwardness (or all of it depending on how exposed some of the other contestants have been to Burt-types) and I hope production uses that as a save if he blatantly fucks up at least twice. Out of all the fish, new and old, he has IMMEDIATELY grabbed my attention again.

The aggressive flirtation, clearly being the odd one out, him openly stating he's a sex worker.

I don't know what the fuck any of the other fish are doing but he is immediately content and has given us a lot out of his gay future boyfriend already, like the confession he's 37(?) but wants to make others assume he's younger likely because he's living in fear of twink death. Everyone else seems normal, which is fine, but Burt is MAGNETIC.
