Anyone else get the feeling something really bad is going to happen to Jon eventually? Like he's going to get scammed out of his parents home or he's going to die showing off for one of his retarded alpha male videos? I've been thinking about that
I rarely physically laugh at things on the internet. This got a hearty chuckle.

I watched/listened to the majority of the Tay stream. I really feel bad for her. She's obviously bothered by the Frank stuff and in some way feels violated by it. Don't want to sound like a simp but its sort of admirable how she's processed the whole thing though. She pretty much acknowledges that she got fucked over but accepts it and is choosing to be thankful for the good things that came from it.

I guess as a fan I need to accept that the show is just never truly going to be what I want it to be. In my mind Fishtank is an endurance contest and the winner should be who was the toughest and most entertaining along the way. Having "hell house" and punishing people for being the "villain" is just asinine to me. In both seasons they've just cucked out and gave the win to whoever their chat was spamming in support of. It reminds me of when in Survivor it became lame because the meta became hanging around in the shadows and being as boring and inoffensive as possible to just sneak your way to victory.

Having basic empathy towards another person isn't simping. She WAS violated by it. If you get a girl blackout drunk and forcibly kiss her that's fucked up. Frank is pulling her towards her in the video. She was not into it. That whole night with Frank and blackout Tay was creepy date rape shit. A producer needed to step in far sooner then they did.

Lance said he is making a video on the alpha male grifters like Tate and their victims, including Jon. He might either sperg out hard or catch the attention of some weirdos with bad intentions. We will see what happens.

Jon has been tweeting non stop for over an hour, I think he had too much coffee

i honestly assumed she was joking.

the story was that it was Tim and/or Eric Andre. Tim's gloating after the fact like that cunt that got Jimmy kicked off the show didn't help either. Tim also clearly hates anyone that "panders to the alt right" and was heavily anti-gamergate as well so he was always a pretty huge faggot. Pretty sure he's gone after Sven Stoffel for those animations mocking the Kliens and George Floyd too.
If he really went after Sven that's hilarious since he's buddy-buddying up to redbar recently, who was at one point best pals with sven and a frequent collaborator. I guess tim just doesn't know about all the racist humor redbar has done over the years. I think its right to say that Tim didn't really give a shit about MDE and just sided with Gelman cause they were buds, which is still very lame. He's definitely a virtue signaling leftist but I sincerely doubt he still holds any beef with Sam Hyde.

This is hilarious.

this is a nice rather neutral passive watch about Tim X Hyde - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRBfcYlJ9pE

I followed Tim more than Hyde in the 10's and he spiraled beyond humor into the politics with Trump fervor. I think prior posters are overplaying Tim's indifference when the sport of the time was to denounce any dissidents and signal in-group status. Hyde would only parody in-group signalling because it's completely Oliver.

🔺 to Tay x Frank, it just shows how he's a sex pest. Her fans flipped out and wanted charges brought, but it's highschool party harrassment level not dick slipping level. I think the show's reliance on alcohol/cigarettes/itching-powder/smelling-salts all signal less creativity and inspiration. Bex saying she would go to the dollar store and buy the most random shit last minute. If participating in the tank means you are physically ailing, like TJ being BLACKED out drunk, the fever, pink eye from chicken shit or human piss, I dunno... Like it can be funny without contestants getting knocked out with concussions. But for better or worse the WIGGER GAS relies on some degree of blindness toward each other when the shitcraft starts cooking

wish well for Jimbo - that's nice he hung in there for her like Raistlin quietly dying in the background

But was he really? I mean he always has a strong hatred against Tim & Eric
Sams weird because he will bounce back and forth about a topic so I think he has more of the ego brain where if it’s good to him good if there’s even a light hint of bad it’s bad. Just like when he talks about art or being an artist he’s usually pretty contrarian, Like fishtank to his MDE. So no I think we probably will never get a straight answer for this he will change it if it suits him or to fuck with everyone.
I feel like I have to say that Tim is still making extremely funny stuff.
I didn’t know he was still going at it. Is he still on adult swim? Does he have a different style of comedy?

On Cinema was initially on adult swim but I think most people found it from youtube. It's now on Tim's crowder-esque parody paywall site "the HEI network". It's been going for over ten years and it is honestly very funny. It's not a sketch show its a parody of youtube movie reviewers that branched out into something much more elaborate in terms of its storylines.

The new episodes of On Cinema are paywalled, but the first few years are on YouTube. It’s hard to describe other than as satire of movie reviews, but it’s very distinct from what he did with Eric.

geeky edit: On Cinema owes a lot of its sense of humor to the co-host expert guest Gregg Turkington and his Neil Hamburger persona.

I don't want to derail this thread anymore then I already have with Sam stuff but yes, he was. He was a huge tim and eric fan. The hatred for Tim only began with cancellation of world peace. Because of how Youtube makes it fucking impossible to find Sam Hyde stream clips I can't post them here but he's talked about his respect for Tim on his stream multiple times.

Jon going from "Fishtank ruined my life!" to open antisemite is so funny.

really they just need to have fewer challenges for cash and more for comfort. Like if you win this you can have fast food, or a nice Nerf gun, or you get to order something off Amazon.

walking out without being eliminated by prod = no cash
10th place elimination= 1k
...
2nd place =20k
1st place=50k

right?
Sam's already mentioned multiple times during S2 that he doesn't like the cash challenges, and that they make the contestants not care as much. Odds are they'll probably just use chips or some shit like that. Whether that's an excuse to pay people less probably remains to be seen.

I think he's wrong. In season 1 everyone was competing for fishbucks and it was a constant source of drama. It worked because they were actual physical things that had a monetary value attached to them.

Season 2 they didn't do nearly as many challenges for actual money. Most of them were for either chips or Chris points, both of which were ultimately worthless. Season 2 also had a bunch of people who just didn't care about money period. You had people like JC and Cole who were talking about leaving almost as soon as they entered the house. From what I remember Jon was the only one from season 1 who didn't care about the money and only wanted "exposure". Casting people who aren't just fanboys who are happy to be there will fix a lot of this problem.

They obviously used appearing in WP2 as a way to butter them up and make them less likely to complain/sue. It'd be hilarious if they ended up cutting all of them out.
Cutting out Josie's part? Ain't no way. :stress:

I think having a physical representation of winnings that one can touch is important psychologically. No one gives a shit about chips because they don't mean anything or represent anything really, best you're going to get is "ok thanks" and then they stash them away. Having actual cash counted out then immediately brought to the basement is stupid. "Congratz, you won, here's your $500. Now give it back."
Silly rewards were better received because they were more fun and you actually got the reward. Exemption from elimination or access to nice food is cheaper and more rewarding than cash but they never figured that out.
