With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Fatty's high pitched voice especially made the audio peak. The audio was so, so much better in season 2. Such an upgrade. Sometimes I forget just how bad it was in season 1 then someone posts a clip and I'm reminded of it.

This is because of the rugs in every room muting most of the sound, obviously they posed a problem when milk, vomit, sand, crickets and other insane shit got stomped and embedded into them. Even after The Cell and using carpet cleaners and an Ozone Machine in B1 the place still smelled like a disaster zone, which is strange because B2 and B1 never really had much in the way of liquids hurled around in it. TJ was bitching nonstop about the smell during his art critique but there wasn't really anything in the room to cause it by that point, the rugs must have just absorbed so much nastiness over the course of the season that it was just impossible to stand.

Why would I respond seriously to the nothing posts you've been making? They aren't serious. What you're basically saying is because Jet was incompetent at running a show he would be totally fine with committing serious felony fraud that would land him in prison. It's not even worth seriously responding to. It's unlikely he's even the one controlling it. It's Sam's investment. Your aren't making any points.

    • Watching the show 24/7 and writing detailed briefs to inform Teams A, B and C
    • Knowing what is going on, what the Fish have said to eachother, how they responded to X, Y and Z, what their relationships are like, what they hated, what is making them suffer, who seems to be at risk of quitting/throwing a mallet/going on a rampage, AND sharing that information with the rest of production
    • This is critical and therefore needs to have a clear system. Monitors should be providing daily briefs and shorter ones covering shorter periods to the entire crew
  • E) grunt work
    • Filming
    • Implementing TTS
    • Implementing Fishtoys
    • Lightly monitoring /tv/, Twitter, etc. to see what fans are saying. I don't want them leaning into this too much, but it is something they should be doing
      • Passing on any insightful trends, good ideas, etc. to the D Team (who will pass it on to the rest)
    • Etc.

To not completely just shit post, I really couldn't care less about anyone post tank. I'm still very sour about the last half of this season. I know the meme is that y'all will see us haters back come Season 3 and... I'm not ruling it out. Following the tank with Sneedchat live is an experience you can't recreate. I have no interest watching episodes or documentary about the Tank. The Tank is live or it's nothing.

However, I'm not 100% I will come back for Season 3. I feel like Season 1 fell apart at the halfway point, but I left the season feeling like they had a good idea and potential that I hoped they built on in Season 2. And initially I thought they did. Season 2 however they regressed and got worse at the show than they were in Season 1. I think if there is some positive change in how they produce the show I'll most likely be back, but if it's silent before leading up too... it'll probably be more of a coin flip.

Sam and Jet kept saying they'd finish the job and remove the carpets or use that carpet cutter to cut the gooey parts out but that never happened
Probably for the best, if they started cutting up chunks of carpet people would trip and then it'd be a different problem
 
I really want to know what the total cost of repairs is going to be. Has to be easily in the tens of thousands of dollars. Didn't Sam have to pay out the ass for expensive custom cupboards last season?

Nah that's your straw man and spin. The only arguments I've made are:

a) Lazy wiggers have shown their dubious morality, laziness, irresponsibility, stupidity and greediness; all that aligns very well with being scammers.
b) If you compare season 2 to season 1, it's evident s2 was lacking in every aspect and making very little money; which means their claim of strong numbers and doubling 2023 revenue are lies.

Last season I think it was in the range of $30K, I could be pulling that out of my ass but they addressed in one of the post season streams and that's what I remember.
