Same. I accept Jet's apology and I get a project of this magnitude is insane for a Zoomer Soundcloud wigger to wrap his head around. I didn't get a season pass for season 1 until about halfway when Chris and Sylvia had their argument the night Frank arrived (I was rolling on the floor laughing and couldn't breathe), so I'll likewise wait until I get enough quality entertainment from season 2 to splurge.

I hope for the best, but I'm prepared for the worst.

And all frank was doing at first was just voicing his concerns, I get how it comes off as abrasive b/c his language was like "hey there wasn't x", "you didn't do y", but I truly think he was just trying to reach out to him to talk and he felt that this was his only option. What do you propose he should have done? wait until AFTER the production of the episodes was over? There's no telling when he would have ever had a chance to reach out to Jet and I think he was in his right to say something.

Agreed. IMO Frank seemed pretty respectful and straight-forward until Jet started lip-smacking like a Kang and suggesting ulterior motives, then he went ham. I do think Frank bitching about shit being in his bag half a year after the show ended was a weak angle, but whatever.

They never got fully into the bag thing because Jon cut them off. It seems like there’s more to the story and we’ll never hear it.

Frank was reasonable and straightforward with his questions which made it even more shocking to me that Jet was so fucking rude to the guy. All Frank was doing was saying "hey, why was this great moment left out" and Jet was clearly pissed. He didn't call him a faggot until it was clear Jet was being one. All that being said I think Jet realizes he messed up and I believe his apology was real. I don't agree with the people saying he forced it.
 
I'm going to be a little faggot and admit that this part made makes me cry and it's absurd the mastermind storyteller Jet wouldn't include the arc of fatty's emotional breakdown.
Frank telling a sobbing airsoftfatty "It's ok to be a human being man. It's okay to be real." Was that not what the core of fishtank was? It's what I thought it was

If you're familiar with Chris/Fatty you'll know this is his schtick. For Frank it was a good moment to add complexity and explain why Fatty was so loyal to him later on, though they skipped over all of that.

Jet could have even leaned into it being his schtick. The episode 6 "extras" were filled with uncut shit of fatty. It could have been pretty comedic if they cut between his confident self and his sobbing "woe is me" self. It's funny when frank bonds with him over how they both hate boogie :story: you are boogie chris
 
Here's a project that I'm starting to work on, as a hobby. I've actually followed Fishtank pretty closely for the most part, watching the Jet episodes made me realize that I could probably make a better job than he would at editing his own show, maybe even at a faster pace! Considering how much Jet's vision seems to have destroyed the edited versions, intentionally or not, I am now working on a De-Jetted Edition of Fishtank.

The idea is to make a longer edited version of the 42 days, following all of the highlights that people know and love and integrating the high-definition clips where applicable. Considering the length of the whole show, I don't know how many fancy graphics I'm willing to make besides Title Cards, so Jet's version might have some flashier gimmicks, but I'm willing to sacrifice that for a far improved narrative.

In terms of format, I believe that I'll edit something like 11 edited movies, each one loosely focusing on specific arcs of the show. Unlike television blocks, which rely on a strict length format of 30 or 60 mins, movies can be anything from 80 to 200 mins, so the timing and pacing issues should be resolved.

Here's a first draft I made of the films in order, so you can get a loose idea of the structure I had in mind:

- Fishtank: Spring Breeze (Day 1-3)
- Fishtank 2000: Disaster Movie (Day 4-9)
- Fishtank in 3D: Unplanned Parenthood (Day 10-13)
- Fishtank in 4K: Disabled Stream (Day 14-17)
- Fishtank Cinco: Attack of the Clones (Day 17-22)
- Fishtank 666: The Hassle Begins (Day 23-26)
- Fishtank 7/11: Gang War (Day 26-29)
- Fishtank 8: Fatty Unravels (Day 30-33)
- Fishtank 9/11: The End of an Era (Day 34-36)
- Fishtank X: Resurrection (Day 36-38)
- Fishtank XI: The Cell II (Day 39-42)

I do have some things that other members can do if they wish to help. I'm not a font autist, so I don't know which font Jet used in the final edit. I also don't know what music would be best suited for Fishtank (World Peace OST, Classical, Eerie Elevator Music, Stock/Royalty-Free, Stuart Little 2 Soundtrack...)

Also, can anyone here confirm this a good source for archive footage? I've heard the actual fishtank.live archives suck, on top of being a pain in the ass to parse through.


Worst case, I can use YT highlights. Anyways, hope I can bring proper closure to Fishtank Season 1, I think it's a unique little show. Fishtank Season 2 does not interest me at all.

Pretty accurate rankings imo. I never thought I would be defending Damiel in this thread but he's C tier not D. Ella and Mauro contributed basically nothing to the show. Damiel at the very least attempted to be interesting. The only other thing I would dispute is Fatty being in C but he's very much "you love him or hate him" kind of guy and I can't hate on someone for not liking him.

I won't try to convince anyone at this point but I think her relative staying power speaks for itself.

The "stretch goal" may have been bullshit anyway. Watching it live it didn't seem to have authentic progression. It makes more sense to provide a bullshit meter to encourage people literally waste money and Frank was planned to show up from the start on a certain day.

Jon deserves all the credit in the world for carrying the show on his back early on. I agree his post-show antics can be insufferable. But he was exactly what the show needed as Jet and crew were still figuring shit out. A Mount Rushmore of Fishtank season 1 without Jon is delusional. Anyone placing Jon below S Tier is contrarian faggotry.

I know we're on Kiwifarms so this may seem unusual but I don't enjoy relying on certified retards being retarded to carry what was pitched to be some sort of "hell house." Everyone ends up subjugated and this includes the viewers. Fatty is similar.

He united the thread and sneedchat due to the hatred everyone had for him combined with the fact that he was loved by the mainstream audience. There was something special about everyone seething in sneedchat when he was brought back a second time only to read a comic for like four hours straight high off of his ass. He deserves C tier for that.
