With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

That’s the way it kind of goes with reality shows. Tweaks and changes have to be made as things go forward- the only difference between this and a big budget one is that this one wears it’s awful production problems on it’s sleeve. And it’s full of autists.

A lot of posters ITT don't understand why this site exists. Laughing at a crashing project offends them because they believe this is the Sam Hyde's Top Guys ($40 Tier) general thread.

I think some of you niggas are paranoid for no reason… the show is going just fine. The events of the past 48 hours are LITERALLY the point of this show. (((CERTAIN PEOPLE))) in this thread can’t stand to see a project being actually funny for once…

I'll put it this way: it's a Sam Hyde related product.
If anyone expected it to actually follow a set a rules and guidelines, to actually go the full 6 weeks, and to not devolve into an utter shit-show, they're more touched in the head than Jon and I have many a bridge to sell them. Yes, it's been an absolute shit-show (a very entertaining one, mind you) but it's like buying cheap electronics and expecting them not to shit the bed or catch on fire, if you're paying for this, you knew what you were getting into at some level.

I can understand the sentiment of "this isn't what I paid for/expected", but it comes across far more as entitlement at this point then actually disgruntled customers. $40 is not a lot of money, even in this god awful economy, and if that's all you paid in, you got plenty of bang for your buck. That's more than reason enough to mock the "refund now!" and doomposting crowd.

yeah, I now see a clear reason why Sam's expressly stated he doesn't watch other people's comedy as a general rule and would rather act in skits others write and direct than write, direct and act in his own
the way he became partial to the fishes is the way he knows his own creative output can get compromised

complete failure to maintain distance and separation, instead he became fishdad and a fish-equal concerned with his fishy appearances
