With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I think Jet is too nice to be the antagonist backbone that some people expect from this show.
He's living in the basement under them, watching them all the time, interacting with them several times a day, etc. Hell last night Jon and several others said they liked him, and Jet said he liked them as well and then had to explain to Jon what "wholesome" meant.
Hell he popped Josie's ball the other day then felt bad about it enough to get her another.
Basically need a bastard like Sam's caliber around 24/7.

You say this but even with Jet "being too nice" and Sam only being around in small bursts they've had one guy choose to leave and another on the verge of leaving as well a quarter of the way in.
 
There's a lot of weird doomerposting in these past few pages.

Each time this show reaches a new low, it always bounces back up, then reaches a newer lower. Is it too much to ask for you guys to either enjoy the show or enjoy the trainwreck?

A lot of cable shows have these same sorts of massive fuckups in production. Difference is, you don't get to see them in that case.

I think the best thing that could happen for the show rn is more advertising, though. Maybe some sort of recap on day 10 for newcomers, so that people can jump right in? Idk.

That's the thing, even if it goes completely sideways and falls apart that's also gonna funny to watch as well.

Why would you do this QnA? When has this ever worked for anyone?

He didnt even actually diddle a kid, as far as we know. He could've just closed social media for now and cut his hair shorter. It would've blown over in no time.
Like a month after the show ends he could make a new social media presence and no one would remember.

Well yeah, they're mentally/emotionally stunted zoomers. Probably what made Jet gravitate to them so much.

Which is why I was saying earlier that an actual torture house wouldn't last long.
 
Any sort of defense Simmons could've possibly had is moot now. He's dug himself his own grave. He's cast an incredibly bright ray of suspicion onto himself. It could've just been passed off as "I didn't know English very well, it wasn't my intention for it to come across as predatory." Nope.

What a fucking creep.

He's also not willing to tell people what anime he likes. That shouldn't be a hard thing to answer without locking up and refusing to answer after you already said you watch anime.

I agree. I don't necessarily think it will entirely fall apart, either. It's the first season, and it's gonna have growing pains. Even if that turns out to be a cope, it's still going to be fucking hilarious to watch everything fall apart if that turns out to be the case- and I think the fallout will give us several lolcows to follow for a while.
