With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Jon thinks he's almost Josie-level popular with fans, and he thinks he's got Sam and Jet (and Tate) on his side. He's totally drunk with power.
 
Jon responded pretty well to being called out for acting like Goldstriker. Both comedic and a thought provoking response. Man stayed calm and responded respectfully. He basically said there's times when one must be quiet and learn and other times to be cocky.

It's day seven and everyone is beginning to understand how to live with an autist who won't stop blathering his thoughts out loud. Just sort of zoning Jon out, ignoring his random questions and unsolicited advice entirely at times. It's an oppressive feeling for normal people, and not being able to physically leave the house exacerbates it.

The constant lack of peace brought on by him raising his voice suddenly like a child whenever he feels like it will make them more irritable as time goes on. I reckon they'll eventually bully and push him around way more.

Until TTS and stuff is back Jon is the only thing providing consistent laughs right now. If he was out it'd just be Simmons reading aloud occasionally and 5 other people twiddling their thumbs for the majority of the day. He's earned his spot at the top.

I absolutely agree. Joncoin is incredibly subject to change and its been like that since day one. However, he is a net positive to the show over all. Does he scream like a retard sometimes? Yep. But if you just focus on the very minimal low points you won't be able to experience the high of Jon actually getting some wins in. I can deal with yelling if it means I get to see an autistic guy grow as a person. I can deal with yelling if it means we get some absolute moments and a guy who tries to involve everyone in the plot. Whether you like him or not Jon is the black hole at the center of the fishtank galaxy. Without him there's nothing to form.

As a side note, the people saying Damiel was a good check for Jon are incorrect imo. The one time Damiel confronted Jon to his face he was immediately put in an awkward situation that he couldn't handle. Damiel had some funny moments as a plant, but he (and the rest of the sharks) underestimated him. Even when Damiel was present it didn't stop Jon from his tard rage and loud volume.

yeah he is right about being one of the most popular contestants, his lisp is iconic and his bizarre rants are comedy gold
