So who thinks we will actually get S5?

I think its over. These guys are retarded and beyond incompetent. They will not sell these three houses nor will they be securing s warehouse and rigging up anything that makes sense. They will not move operations out of state.

The only way I see a S5 happening is if they run it in one of the existing houses or buy another stupid house 20 minutes stay and have the same shit happen again.

But there will be no warehouse, there will be no land bought in a far away place. These are grown men retards. Hyde took 10 years to follow up his six episode run on Adult Swim, and most of the sketches are call backs to previous sketches.

You really think the wiggers and Hyde are going to tour properties? You really think they will get permits? Of course they won't.

Atleast thats my prediction.
They don't take themselves too serious and assume the town does the same but they FAFO. There's no way they stop the show, since it's the most profitable thing they do.
Sam was busy with WP2 and starting a new show, he trusted incompetent Jet to be able to handle this one major problem.
They won't leave the state if actually try to figure out what's really needed legally to keep the show there. and if there's no hope they will definitely take it somewhere else.

OR

They won't. FT dies. Sam gets back to live streaming with Jet reading super chats.

I believe Fishtank will live on for one simple reason: Sam Hyde is spiteful and vindictive. He got told "no", which is not something he likes to hear. If he wasn't emotionally invested in the success of Fishtank he is now just out of a desire to show that he can. That said I really dont think theyll leave the general MA/RI area, for no reason other than simple logistics (moving people, hiring new staff, etc.)

If Sam wants to get serious about this then he should can Jet and hire Alex Stein (who has the production experience that Jet lacks). Alex loves the show and would put forth more effort in one day than Jet has in the entire run. But Sam will do nothing as long as he gets every dollar he put into it back.

Greg's team built a fake house rigged with cameras for seGREGated. I don't think Cowboy will have much trouble doing it.

Unpopular opinion but I think Jet is mostly fine. He can be very funny and his humor style is integral to Fishtank. He just needs better oversight and a more consistent flame under his ass. I think Ben probably does a good job of this, but I think all the zoomers together can sometimes circlejerk each other into a state of un-inspiration. There are so many sick ideas that could take Fishtank to entirely new heights, but they don't take anything seriously enough to really make them happen. I think Bloodgames and the Fishtank S3 reveal were the very peak of their capacity with the current team.

If someone older and more conscientious were to take on an involved managerial role in Fishtank, they'd probably be the strongest team in comedy right now.

And just like that we’re a thread for a dead show. The new Firefly forum. Feels bad man.

Something as simple as having an outline for the season and a daily plan (including a huge list of challenges) would make the show a thousand times better. But Jet can hardly be bothered to do anything at all.

Ironically, this season seemed to be the most well thought out until it wasn't.

Really none of them can. The idubbz gaslight video is a shining example, the ideas he reads of Nick Rochefort are fucking hilarious.. and then he attempted almost zero of them.

I like Jet and Sam.. their ideas and tone are good.. but they need a producer and writer that calls the shots. Plenty of people could easily fit that role, but they would actually require a salary.

They did have elaborate plans for season 1 at least but Jet said they ended up throwing most of it away as the show began airing and they realised it was smarter to play things by ear.

I absolutely agree that they will not sell all three properties in time to relaunch this show in their stated time frame. Depending on how much they have in the bank, they may not need to. As far as the warehouse thing, It's possible. The only difficulty is running enough power to operate a whole fake house. They could rent a couple big generators. Sound stages for professional films are built with that kind of power draw in mind, regular warehouses are not. Professional sound stages are very expensive to rent for the 3 or 4 months they'd need one for, and buying one would be even worse. Building one may not be too bad but idk what the zoning requirements would be and it would take years.

They'd have to put more effort into this than anything they've done so far, so your concern is valid. Hard to say if they'll manage to pull something out of their ass and make it work before January.
Power probably wouldn't be an issue. A warehouse that would be large enough to contain a small fake house would certainly have at least 200A three-phase. More practical concerns would be plumbing for the fake house, the HVAC, and the interior finishing. If they want it to look like an actual house from the inside (remember that Sam tries to be a perfectionist) it will be expensive and time consuming. A significant percentage of the cost of just building an actual house. Then there's the issue of the continuous occupation for 6 weeks - most industrial zones absolutely prohibit that. Then there's the issue of demolishing and removing the fake house they've built once they're done.

Do you need a building permit to do this shit inside a warehouse? I have no idea but probably yes. Putting up temporary walls over bare concrete like Greg did and using existing utilities would be much more practical. The fake house inside a warehouse just seems impractical for a 24/7 show. A soundstage type thing for daytime filming is different.

At that point it would be easier to just rent an actual house somewhere and explain to the owners what it'll be used for. Get a piece of shit they plan to demolish anyway but is still fit for occupation. This could be hard to find. Whatever nothing will happen and it's all over.
