Dude he didn't leave because he was falsely promised good money by production. Sam and Jet lied to him. He got tortured for 41 days and made less money then if he had been mopping floors at a grocery store in California I did the math. While I sympathize with Shinji, it's hard to feel bad. It was a shitshow from day one. What made him stick it through another 41 days? No fucking way. You could leave, like others did before you. Own fault.
It feels weird. The stuff he made before Fishtank had its charm, and he showed blatant ability to be an interesting talker, to the point people stayed up late just to watch him chat with the camera. When he actually got out, though, that aspect felt lacking in his streams (besides the one physical thing he did of pulling Doritos out of the game). Even weirder than that, his idea of ass-busting high-quality content seemingly turned into fact shorts with AI footage. That doesn't come close to what he did before or during Fishtank, that's just AIbro #81302 thinking there's still space for him to milk the "GET EASY INCOME BY DOING NOTHING!!" bandwagon. It seems to me like he wanted instant fame and adoration while putting in zero effort. I tried to watch one of his streams once and he was just sitting there not speaking at all, he wasn't even trying to be entertaining or engaging.
Someone like Shinji is funny in the context of a show like fishtank when you want a diverse group of weirdos. Seeing this goofy Japanese pervert is funny when they’re in an environment they’re not used to (sort of like how Greg was funny in the context of fishtank but not on stream). The thing is watching an ESL play games in silence isn’t entertaining. I think it also doesn’t help that Shinji has had this woe is me attitude for the past couple of months. It feels weird. That said, though, the bits of the Scott stream I saw just felt unnecessarily cruel. The guy needs genuine help, and all he gets is some side-character sped trying to milk him while he's still available.

I doubt the wiggers will go into gambling territory. That shit has a lot of regulations and will be a pain in their ass.fishtank better be next

Regulations aside, they wouldn't do this because then they'd have to run a show that is actually fair.I doubt the wiggers will go into gambling territory. That shit has a lot of regulations and will be a pain in their ass.

He DID win money, the problem is he let a 'friend' manage his finances lol. We can't really know how much shinji was actually given because he's a retarded ESL that let somebody with obvious ulterior motives manage his most important shit lol. If anybody knows where shinji goes to college, we can figure out how much a credit hour costs + food/lodging and get an idea of what he may have actually made.I mean what's the motivation for people to try and succeed on that show if you're going to not win anything on a whim of the production?
What was he majoring in again, neuroscience? A rough average from California colleges that offer it might be a decent start. If anybody knows where shinji goes to college, we can figure out how much a credit hour costs + food/lodging and get an idea of what he may have actually made.
Computer science iirc, so he can achieve the pornomatrixWhat was he majoring in again, neuroscience? A rough average from California colleges that offer it might be a decent start.
To warrant going on Fishtank, you have to have nothing going for you in life. It's worse than legal gambling, it's far more likely the odds will be pitted against you than not. You will be deliberately humiliated by losers, for losers. They will make at least tens of thousands off of your humiliation and maybe pay you a few grand, maybe not. How much you bring in is irrelevant to the payout, it is at best dictated by arbitrary, poorly thought-out challenges that are subject to change on a moment's notice. It's kind of depressing that Shinji got fucked out of any money despite coming in second place. I mean they played the whole golden scarab thing as it was worth something and he'd get some money out of it. The whole 'oh but you can make a great streaming career by being on this show' is bullshit too.
Maybe having the cast be all Squidwards last season will help, as it'll turn off any other MDE fans from wanting to go on another season. To warrant going on Fishtank, you have to have nothing going for you in life. It's a shit show. I know the economy sucks but the time is better spent focusing on just about any line of work.
It’s not just that the odds of losing are high either, it is far more likely you will come away from the show with a net negative than a net positive. You’re drawing attention towards your entire persona. People are going to be snooping around in your personal life, or at least try to. While it’s not a guarantee, any contestant could very well be doxed or have their dirty laundry aired to the world. All that risk for the chance of earning a couple months pay (if the crew feels nice enough). To warrant going on Fishtank, you have to have nothing going for you in life. yet... don't sell that crazy whore short.Hey I don’t like Abi but at least she never recorded herself pissing into a helmet and wearing it.
