I wonder how severe it actually it is, whether it's worse compared to other contestants or it's the cultural difference making it seem overwhelming for him.

Seems surprising that he would get it the worst of all people, considering he ostensibly was the most liked (or least hated) cast member while the show was running.

Cultural difference, I say. There's no way out of many contestants, Shinji is the most hated one and received the worst. He never did anything that made him unlikable.

Shinji had a censored TTS experience, he didn't deal with the literal fucking insane fanbase and production the way Tayleigh, Trish, or Jimmy did, hell Tay got it so bad that they censored most positive TTS towards in the final week which left her with a case of whiplash after the show when she found she was extremely well liked, perhaps the most well liked of all of the S2 fish. Jet did him a disservice by not easing him into the deep end of the pool to immunize him for when he got out of the tank.

yeah he genuinely does show the difference between an amateur and a professional. It reminds me of how some college basketball players can join some 3rd world basketball team and become the best player in the nation. Everything i've seen from him makes it seem like a minor league professional having to deal with dummies. his antics carried the show for awhile there.
Even compared to Alex Stein, in a way. Alex Stein is basically a pundit, which requires a type of acting, but he's not an actor. You could see him size everyone up this season this time the same way Duany'ay did like pieces of meat and determine only Tayleigh was worth saving, the rest weren't entertainment material.

Every show like Shark Tank has a secondary market of investors who look for people that flunk out of the show, gives them a spit-shine, and pay in. Pretty much every single one. Especially shows like American Idol because you know the guys who almost win a show like that could just as easily make money as singers.

I think each season it's likely one or two of the people from the show are going to attach themselves permanently to MDE, and this time around it's probably Brian (I know what they said about Trish but that was the same damn lie they told Sylvia about "see you in season two") but then a little handful of others will get slurped up by cousins and relatives of MDE. Productions inspired by MDE, Ariel Pink music types, and the "young conservative" political interests like Alex Stein or the people who gave Jon a shot before dropping him.

Last season the rush to gobble up the fish was so disorganized but I expect if the seasons continue to be successful (big if) it's going to be less of the Hausbomb spams everyone's DMs to send them free merch as long as they wear it on stream type shit and something more organized. Duany'ay moving this fast is part of that.

edit:
Oh my god, this is completely deserved

It’s probably bad enough if he had to make a public announcement on his YouTube channel. He doesn’t seem the type to cry wolf.

Lance made a Twitter space, Meg joined and grilled Greg on why there is a Discord group that supposedly has "everyone in it" but she wasn't invited. She is apparently mad that everyone talks about "Friendtank" but she and Cole are excluded. Then she Markyposted and Lance kicked her out.
Is Meg actually surprised the cliquey jealous idiots who orbit Sam Hyde's wigger cliquey idiots are cliquey? Out of all the post tank events, a super sekret gay discord circlejerk is the least surprising thing here. Yes it's shit and homo. Yes them still seething about Cole is absolutely pathetic but Meg is even more stupid than I thought she was.

Also Betty needs to be thrown in grippy sock jail with Summer.

Meg was so pathetic crying about not being included in the sooper secret fish discord, like she did anything at all besides piss brown fat person failing kidney piss in a cup and sit around without speaking for 2 weeks. I'd forget about her too even if I was a fish on the show with her. Then her coping about "oh idc I don't wanna stream anyway, BTW MARKY THOMPSON CHALLENGE" was borderline more pathetic than anything Betty has done recently.

Brian worked in a soup kitchen (well at least he claimed he did) and seems pretty knowledgeable about soup so i could see them giving him some background role in the kitchen out of the way for S3 if he was brought back.

Trish on the other hand confuses me. What would her purpose be for S3 ?. The only thing ive seen mentioned (i can’t pinpoint who during S2) was a tattoo artist for the house but tbh who besides Brian is gonna agree to get a tatt from Trish lol

Brian said he went to a soup kitchen, as in too poor for food and had to eat at a soup kitchen. Although I'm beginning to think his claims of being poor are a bit overblown and it was just to try and gain some sympathy.
Brian worked at Texas Roadhouse restaurant as a waiter.

So they can have him clearing tables and delivering food in the S3 house.

Not as a joke, they always seem to be in need of more gophers. Having a talent (Cowboy) is great but simply taking a shift to make the operation more bus-proof, especially someone who will probably have the critical thinking ability required to identify a TTS like "marquis marr quay etc" and the stature to dash in and play Security, is more valuable than having a dumb gimmick like roleplaying galley chef for a bunch of wiggers who would rather spend $15 a night on Chinese than eat spag bog from a large pot.

Trish fills none of those useful roles- she'd be the one pressing play on TTS while Sam is delivering his standup or being told "Tom Jones is so-and-so's dad's name so stop letting it through" and letting it through anyway or standing ten feet away from a brawl looking petulant.

She seems 100% convinced shes in S3 (there was comment in her chat a while back saying something like “you’d be better off not in S3” and i recall her replying with “too late !” or something

if they are gaslighting her that would be hilarious

Jet and/or Sam brought this up on season 2 as having Brian run a soup kitchen for the house.

CK posted on twitter that Brian's parents paid for his entire education and that he did indeed overplay how broke he was. I think she deleted it.

On that note, someone remind me, why is TTS filtering even a thing ? To protect the sensibilities of production from "inhumane" verbal harassment ?
I concede a single exception in filtering out addresses and highly personal information for contestants and the show, but nothing else really.

Just the fact that an online reality show requires literal goons to actively proof-read offending text strings is peak caveman behavior.
Such tech acumen is laughable even for Indian standards.
I sincerely want to believe they say that as an excuse to do fuck-all and pretend they're busy but you never know.

From what I can tell they have a big list of the names of who the cast and crew are dating and definitely filter anything that looks like an address.
Which is probably wise.
Then they have a gay layer where they censor you for supporting the wrong contestant or for sending hate to the wrong contestant, which they should stop doing. TTS is fun because it's our toy. If production just funnels the support of the audience towards their favorites then what's the point of buying tokens just to get refunded

Tay got some of the best TTS and she got no protection for it. Meanwhile TJ got maximum protection almost all the time and how did that end up? How many funny TTS did he have good reactions to?

Pitch: similar to this season, you can win real food in challenges or by getting Fishtoys, but if you can't pay for or get the good food you can go to Brian's soup kitchen, where you can always eat but the caveat is that Brian has to cook it on his own.

You might of actually touched gold here. Hypothetical scenario: can you imagine being the fish that loses “X challenge” and all the other fish say get fast food or whatever while you get relegated to the kitchen to eat soup with Brian

would be demoralising af
