Tulsi Gabbard probably can't win this entire thing but she'd be a great asset to a ticket as a VP. In the limited sample size of just what I saw tonight she was the best public speaker.

The size of the trade deficit under Trump being run up at record levels monthly is where there's points to score politically, not this Spanish speaking garbage which everyone who watched Rubio and Cruz flame out as presidential candidates would have figured out last presidential election cycle to avoid as it adds nothing to a candidate. Also you can use the same argument Trump tried to use to undercut the Obama economic recovery by pointing out Trump's using the same supposedly 'cooked' numbers that he complained Obama relied on to cover up the real issues with the economy of the country right now in order to try to continue to claim credit for 2/3rds of his predecessor's work. I'd also suggest there's votes to win by emphasizing how much is to be saved over a decade if you implement single payer basic healthcare coverage over the system in place now to provide those particular services in this country.

Thursday night should have a higher quality across the stage on average of campaigners and debate performers both so it should be better just off of that metric. I've expected Kamala Harris to be the nominee since the day after the election upset of 2016 so we'll see if she can channel her inner Gabbard under the lights when she gets up there as she needs to regain some momentum in this race that she's kind of let get away from her as the field swelled. If 2008 and 2016 taught me anything it's that these protracted primaries don't always end up damaging the winner of them nearly as much as people predict and if anything sharpens the winner's campaign chops more than it ends up damaging them so we'll see how the board sits when the convention wraps up.

Define Republican hard-liner. If I recalled correctly, even the Republican Party, or at least a chunk of them, didn't want Donald Trump as president. However, because of his popularity and appeal to his audience, they had no choice but to let him in. I imagine rather than working with him, they're just letting him do whatever he wants as he is representing their party (which has gone through its fair share of backlash in history) and they don't want their dirty laundry aired out in the public. Look at how many people left or were fired after him taking office.

As said here, it was speculated through lawsuits, but Trump himself said his managers would try to weed out people, not he himself. So Trump was probably hiring people who had racial biases against other people...which means that Trump should have overall better control of who his higher-ups and he himself hires.
