Hard is essentially 'Normal' in 3H. No Weapon triangle works imo, but I wish it was present in some form. Maybe have it tied to weapon rank (Higher rank=a more pronounced effect, to reflect the increase in skill)

3H is pretty raw and i hope IS decide to refine it like with Fates refining Awakening's ideas, instead of changing tack and dumping all their stuff like they usually do

Finished Edelgard route,

I went completely blind into this game despite it having been out for a long while, and I'll agree the second half feels short. However I think the cutting of all the weird midnight hour shift to this hidden high tech dystopian faction is a detriment to the story, and I dislike that instead of addressing that bit of the plot at all you essentially get a bad ending of they remain of influence. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and I don't know if I would of as much had I played another house from the start(I've yet to play Demetri's line, but Claude's globohomo agenda is only made possible by the cultural wildfire Edelgard starts. I was legit torn at the choice of who to side with and pained when I discovered I killed other students from the start of the game). I will eventually get around to Demetri's storyline, but I don't see any way it will be more impactful than that first playthrough siding on Edelgard. Edelgard best girl, her house has all the best Waifu's except for one from Blue Lions, and her storyline is leagues better than at least Claude's and I suspect Demetri's.

It already is. As a skill that provides accuracy and crit avoid that scales off your proficiency.
I mean inherent as a game mechanic, not those skills (which the enemy rarely if ever have)

You'd be surprised

Well, the enemy usually has a proficiency skills. But there's occasionally times when it's for a weapon that they aren't actually carrying.

How many of you guys Early Promote your units?

I know most people love to min max their stats but sometimes the extra boost as well as earlier weapon ranks are just that good.

I like waiting for my late game combat units just to have shiny nice stats after promotion.

For healers I tend to early promote because I don't care about their stats.

Also Knoll is the best exemple of a character that doesn't gain anything by promoting late.

For the 3ds games, if depends on what skills are available. For 3H, it doesn't matter much, obviously.

But it also depends on what stage of the game that.you're in.

Yeah. Knoll is only good for Summoning and Staff Botting. With his low Luck and Def,you would be dumb to have him anywhere near an enemy.

So apparently Mekkah is doing a video on the a ROMHack that Mangs did.

There were some spicy comments addressing this but Mekkah acted like a bitch and deleted comments. It used to be 50 comments now down to 33.

Geez. I wished I screencapped the comments before the deletion.

I decided to get as many caps as possible with the posts I could find at the time.

I mean I would totally chalk this up to happenstance because all these guys probably browse Serenes Forest and I'm sure the hack got posted there; still a bitch move to delete comments if he did. But then again, FE youtubers are desperate for some new content right now, since there's only so many times you can play FE7 before people just turn it off, so maybe it is just blatant idea stealing.

All these FE youtubers content is pretty unwatchable though. Mekkah's content and playstyle is boring as fuck and he's been clamoring for things to do videos on because he finally ran out of bottom of the barrel fucking tier lists to do.
Mangs on the other hand plays like an absolute retard who's never touched a Fire Emblem in his life and his soy face reactions to things are tedious. The rest of them aren't even worth mentioning because it's trash content (wow, Nino and Wendy are bad units? I'm shocked at this discovery!)

Like seriously Mangs' dumbass plays were annoying but his manic playstyle has grown on me especially compared to how much of a try hard Mekkah is. Like he is not someone like DonDon who mastered LTC playthroughs himself and after the Mangs Drama, hardly anyone if even anyONE came out of that clean.

The only person who won in that is Jetblack Jay whose new sub count is 150k. That is over 50k more than Mangs who is reaching 100k soon.

Why Fire Emblem has no map editor and Advance wars: days of ruin does, is beyond me....
That is something I never got.
There is no real PVP scene especially when it comes to custom made maps.

And all the special maps you unlock in some games come in as packaged and you cannot do much if anything to change them.

But hey,at least long time players can use some special units for playing so much.

It especially never made much sense for the newer games since technology has improved significantly since that game was released. Its not even the PVP aspect, the map editor could also be used for custom PVE content against the AI but lacked a VN section or script editor like the FE rom hacks use.

It could easily be repurposed for an FE game, just remove the buildings that make more units, place the units for the ai and player down and you have an FE game. Hell, Fates was even half way there with its player castle customization.

There's a market for Fire Emblem videos that nobody seems to want to capitalize on and that's more in-depth analysis on units. Mangs and Mekkah both *sometimes* do this, but generally speaking all anyone wants to talk about is how bad or broken some units are.

Mekkah's video on Isadora is very interesting because it spotlights a unit that people would never think twice about and there are *hundreds* of units in the franchise that could use that kind of attention.

And while Mangs is a total meme, I appreciate the odd times he actually analyzes a character and their content, as it makes people realize there's more going on behind either memes or numbers.

But both of these types of videos are so painfully sporadic that it almost doesn't matter.

Add that with just how awful the community is.
I mean again,NO ONE got out of that drama with Mangs clean.

The only winner in all this was some up and coming at the time commentary channel by the name of Jetblack Jay who JUMPED in sub count after the person covered said drama when no one else would. Not even Null.

So what do you mean by in depth analysis on the units/characters?

From what Ive seen so far, the FE community is comprised of mostly waifuists. Which explains a lot of said awfulness.

Waifu fags and try-hards; a terrible combo. I know I just said that Mangs plays like a retard (and he's a coomer himself), but that mainly comes from him not knowing basic arithmetic and not knowing how map mechanics work, despite playing a lot of these games a 10+ times. At least he knows how to have fun with things. That cannot be said for a lot of the FE community.

Technically, no units are pure trash by FE’s fundamental game design. Though the effort required to get them to a usuable state has a steep curve for some units.
Especially the non healing mages in the earlier games like Sacred stones and having them chip away at monsters in the tower with seth nearby to club the monsters over the head whenever they were really in danger.

Its also great that in the newer games you can re class anyone to just about anything. Its really not that hard to have fun with fe. Though the maps can get tedious depending on your army size.

Healers were a BITCH to raise I the older games. I think staff uses did not give out EXP so you had to risk getting hit to raise stats. Add that with magic characters not having any Magic stat or growth as Strength did not equal magic might in the first game.
