For real though I forgot Rinkah even existed, she actually had a cool design. Too bad she is worthless as a character and as a unit.

Even in Birthright, where it pays to be an axe unit or an archer, IntSys managed to fuck that one up, along with omitting the Flame Tribe.

I dunno. I guess I don't really know what you mean by waifu-able because there's definitely that emphasis in many games. Though I do agree a lot of waifufagging is cancerous and usually values weak characters over good ones.

It is more I don't like literally any female character enough in this entire series, that I've played, who I'd ever consider my "waifu" even ironically or as a joke. I've liked female characters a lot in other game series, but Fire Emblem never does it for me. I think cause all the waifu traits IS tries to capture are done so poorly, are stock standard, or just plain boring that I don't care at all. Something about Fire Emblem just doesn't do it for me at all. It is like they try to shove this waifu dating sim nonsense and I just zone out completely out of boredom.

You can make anyone a waifu if you try hard enough, especially with Heroes even "pre-waifu emblem" era characters have become waifus to some people, but for me I can't ever see a FE character like that. So to me they're all equally meh, save for a couple exceptions like Jill who I have more respect for her arc then going "My beautiful red haired pony tailed waifu uwu" over.

I think it comes down to how stilted and consequently predictable the support system forces characters to be. And when they do go for something unexpected it often doesn't land with everyone.

Yeah that might be it, save for Edelgard and to an extent Lucina (who I forgot existed until I typed this), we haven't had much female focus since Awakening. The royals in fates are trash so they barely make a blip unless you are into their specific trope. Most non-lords get sidelined super hard once you recruit them in just just about every Fire Emblem, which just leaves supports for the majority of the cast. So most the waifus they try to push don't become very memorable except to people who are really really into a specific trope or design such as with Tharja being the big yandere trope.

Tharja is intensely pandering in a way her competition simply is not too. And is just a straight trope, or tropes since she could also be a big titty goth gf too.
Camilla I need not even comment on. She's non-ironically the most popular girl in Fire Emblem and she's the most pandering female character there's ever been in the series.

Funnily enough she's also not that great as a character. Her smothering love is insufferable and the excuse for liking her just seems flimsy.

I don't think popular tropes in of themselves are bad it's just that IS for the most part probably didn't care about proper character development because they know that Camilla will sell more than Jill. The whole dating sim aspect just reminds me that Fire Emblem is a series that mostly appeals to teens. IS trying to push certain characters like Dimitri and Edelgard as waifu/husbando material gets old real fast for me. Even then I can't really imagine myself calling Sigurd or Leif my husbando unironically even though they're characters I love far more and also happens to belong to a gender I'm attracted to.

Camilla is one of those characters where you can tell they tried to give her depth but in doing so they essentially just forced a tragic backstory with an utterly absurd manner of coping on her part.

I married Anna in Awakening, obviously the top waifu.

On the other hand, I despised everyone in Fates (Conquest) so much that I didn't marry anyone off to anyone. I'm led to understand that refusing to participate in the time-travel eugenics program made the game unnecessarily difficult.

The coping I don't think is the issue. It can definitely give her genuine depth it's just that it's often played off as a joke or a character quirk. It's similar to why I find Bernie grating.

There's nothing wrong with a character coping with something tragic. I mean every FE character except the main ones would be "bad" if I believed that. It's just that her method of coping is clearly just an excuse for a fanservicey character.

It seems Chaz is speaking out now about his allegations and his interactions with those around him.

Very concerning that he doesn't bring up certain other things that I'm aware of, such as a person named Derail who supposedly badgered people for info. He also didn't even bring up an event around that time that I feel is important, which is when he sperged out over his server being less popular than a fan's server and deleted his because he got upset.

It went from my watch history instead of the start of the video.

I actually skimmed for specific parts considering I was pseudo involved with Indie's side of the story. Derail messaged anyone he could who he knew was in contact with Indie. I'm actually the person in that Discord DM, and Derail used the knowledge that Indie owed me an art commission (which she refunded and owned up, apologizing for not working on it) to try and get more info out of me when the most I knew was that Indie was not comfortable with Chaz and how he was acting, and that he kept making advances after their hookup. Chaz didn't mention Derail, who had been going on a relentless manhunt for info from people who knew Indie, nor his fallout with his own Discord server. His smoothtalking can only get him so far.
 
Okay.

I recently made an account cause of this drama and shit it fucking hit home and honestly I am really disappointed in many ways it turned out.

I have been following this via a Youtuber by the name of Jetblack Jay due to NO ONE covering this shit and the recent video where Jetblack Jay makes an apology video to Goosephone,Goose and Chaz of all folks show up.

This is what I could find as far as their responses go.

Needless to say,I am having a hard time trusting anyone in the FE Tube Community after this and will probably be a bit conservative in the Fire Emblem videos I do watch if ever.

Just watching Chaz's video by proxy feels like a slog. All this drama with no real conclusion and it just gets swept up for most content creators with no real pursuit to any sort of truth in the end. What a fucking waste of time.

Oh Rinkah. Too bad you stats don't lend much outside of Defense and you are in the easiest of the 3 versions of Fates. I always wanted a female Pirate/Berserker class and with the build to match. If Constitution was a thing,Rinkah would be a nice 9.
