That trailer isn't very promising, in terms of gameplayIs the new Fire Emblem a good incentive to buy a Switch 2?

FE1,3,5 are like the opposite of the GBA games in terms of what you should do with strategy. IMO availability is king.View attachment 8414200
I remember in my first playthrough in Chapter 5, I wanted to give Asbel some of that sweet pre-promoted EXP. So I attacked with him, took a big hit from the Loptyr guy, and was like "Well, that's okay, I made sure Leif was nearby to rescue him if needed".
He proceeded to level up and get his 10% +1 BLD/CON, making Leif unable to rescue him anymore as he was the only active unit nearby.
Asbel then died to a Jormungandr to the face.
And this is why Thracia is my second favorite FE game of all time.

TBF if you want Shinon you have to suffer Rolf. Whether or not it's worth it is up to debate but it does put some more pressure on using him than there otherwise would be.Probably not one of the best units in the game, but still.
It is annoying that it’s used for like the first three maps of the game. But The Long Road is kino.I’d like to complain for a moment
Fodlan winds is a 1:07 long loop. I loathe the three houses soundtrack for this, I’ve been listening to this 1:07 loop for nearly two hours today. This game is awful I don’t know why we ever tolerated it.
Anyways have a good one
Unfortunately we are 11 hours in and my friend is on chapter fucking 5 because this game is so overbloated with “not fire emblem”It is annoying that it’s used for like the first three maps of the game. But The Long Road is kino.
I'm more convinced they'll make Arion a truly playable unit for the Endgame chapter since he's barely a Camus to start with, maybe even give him a pincer attack with Altena since there isn't a triangle attack (available to players) to start with. Ishtar unfortunately is the female trendsetter for the “loyal to death, right or wrong” archetype and that means nobody is likely willing to make her truly flip. Reinhardt, though, might get promoted in a Thracia remake. If they do make an fe4 remake (Which they probably won't) they should 100% make Ishtar recruitable, just so you can pair her with Seliph and cuck Julius before you actually kill him.
You're probably right, I'm just a sucker for women who deserve better. Arion is so fucking boring though, I mean what does he have other than a crusaders weapon and a hard on for his adopted sister, that's like half the cast anyway.I'm more convinced they'll make Arion a truly playable unit for the Endgame chapter since he's barely a Camus to start with, maybe even give him a pincer attack with Altena since there isn't a triangle attack (available to players) to start with. I still can't get passed that chapter. I've been slowly working through Thracia since FE4 last year. Zero hand holding, learn the game or die. A far cry from the age of Mila's Turnwheel emblem. I prefer it because it treats me like an adult. And this is why Thracia is my second favorite FE game of all time.
While what's behind that door enraged me, it was a genuine emotion, I laughed and said "oh you mother fuckers!". Just another challenge, real war isn't predictable, you have to make do. FE5 is great at that. I don't know why Dark Souls can get away with "Get Good", but classic FE can't. It's the same thing, get good, and when you do the experience is more fulfilling than grinding giga-units in Awakening by spamming the autobattle system.
Julius is already getting cucked because Julia has the hots for Seliph. And Seliph was already taken by force by the Astra queen.they should 100% make Ishtar recruitable, just so you can pair her with Seliph and cuck Julius before you actually kill him.
Dark souls gets away with it because the consequence for dying is that you have to walk back to where you were, which is probably only a few minutes of your life since you don't have to explore it a 2nd time. Classic FE doesn't because losing means you lose an hour of your life. It's as simple as that, which is why I prefer Iron Man as a play style too because resetting ruins my night. If I die in Dark Souls the night goes on, if I die in classic FE to something I have no way of knowing would happen without a walkthrough, than I'm just going to bed sad.FE5 is great at that. Difference is Lyon's kindness and insecurities are built up over the course of the campaign and you can organically see his humanity (or a very good impersonation of it), Julius not always being a monster is just dumped on you at the last moment.Reminder that Julius was actually a chill dude until his soul was devoured and replaced by Loptyr. Kind of like Lyon.
Exactly. I play games to have fun. FE5 is only one of two FE games I didn't have fun with.If I die in Dark Souls the night goes on, if I die in classic FE to something I have no way of knowing would happen without a walkthrough, than I'm just going to bed sad.
If you really want to skip FE5 , and of course assuming you played 4 , there are 4 major takeaways to tie up the duology:Hot take but FE5 is overrated and can be safely ignored
This is one of the unstated reasons why royalty have a few kids. But realistically speaking, it might have happened amongst the middle or lower class. Although, it's far more likely that both of their families would have immediately disowned them and that shit was actually kept as an tightly guarded secret amongst those who were into that lifestyle. As with the royalty, nobody fucking knows and marriage is almost certainly off the table. Is there any real world historical precedent for a situation like this?
