If we're talking theoreticals then how about making Micaiah likeable.
Alright that's not happening without writing a completely different character, so instead I wanted to ask about something completely different when it comes to egotistical commanders.
I think Andaron Saga's Anniversary Patch or something hits late this year, doesn't it? I didn't beat it, but for sort of an autistic reason. See, I've seen streams of lunatic ironman runs of it, seen advice saying that Andaron's lunatic mode is made for people autistic about Fire Emblem. But I wanted to sign up for a rough time so I went in dry with Lunatic, with the caveat of not ironmanning it because I'm not familiar with the game doing its funny tricks based off of knowing how it works.
It's pretty satisfying to break through, but I sort of hit a wall with chapter 14. Not actually getting through it, the Mage Knights with Dire Thunder launching out of the darkness to kick you right in the cock are certainly fucks but it's still something else.
In the river crossing chapter. I managed to put the pedal to the medal harder than I ever have in a fire emblem game to seize the Galewind, and that was pretty satisfying. The CG afterwards honestly makes me think that's how it's really supposed to happen, combined with Liam being a big enough pussy that he can get bitchslapped with hunting bows.
I tried to get the Ashcleaver, but I couldn't grind up or boost Ariel enough to make taking it practical, especially since you're drowning in shit by the end of that level too. But I had a fixation ever since Chapter 9. To use my Fantastic Fred to mount Alexander's head on a pike and seize the Gladiolus, since doing that in Lunatic 8 seems like it's actually fucking impossible.
All that preamble for the actual question- is it even practical to try and early-kill Alexander in Lunatic? Because while I can try, and it seems possible if I get extremely lucky, it seems like you're really, really not meant to be able to facecheck the death pincer in Lunatic Saga, since Sol proccing means you lose all progress in killing him and he's really likely to get it. Also I want to know if there's any shame in going down to Hard instead of Lunatic because all the ball busting gets pretty exhausting, I do restart chapters since you can do that in GBA but I don't save state every turn since that's cheating. Even though you can do that on DS.
