Not all FE youtube videos are about butt hole fixation or feature length video essays about the fascinating history of lockpicks across the entire series, or how, hot take, Engage le bad. There's also the tribalist serenesforest boomer FEtuber ecosystem, which is somehow even more incestuous than the games themselves, and you also cannot fucking escape in any capacity if you make Fire Emblem videos because the sychophants will bring their bullshit straight to you as soon as you're on their radar (refusing to care, as always, makes these fags more butthurt). What they all have in common is that FE is just a means to a grift. Excelblem, who is the closest to resembling a real human being instead a real life soyjak, freely admits both to this and that he's not even capable of enjoying the games 'normally' anymore.
I feel like I've been seeing the sentiment of "FE is good, the fans are not" more and more lately. I hope it catches on more; I really don't believe that any percieved stagnation of interest in the series has as much to do with Engage as it does the FE community and content creators (

Mangs mentioned somewhere how he has this theory that the FE4 remake leak from the same leak about Engage was actually a misunderstanding about Sigurd's map being a remake from a FE4 chapter and at this point it seems plausible.
I still think its weird how much more focus Sigurd had over other Emblems aside from Marth in Engage and FE4 has a very dedicated cult following in Japan but if the next direct still won't reveal it, then I'll buy into the misunderstanding theory for good.

Part of me hopes that this is the case, actually. I think everybody assumes that if/when they remake FE4 (or any of the older games for that matter) it's going to be as faithful to the source material as Echoes was, but that was such a perfect storm of a game development-wise. I can think of a dozen different "QOL improvements" they could implement to make the game more approachable to appease zoomers who get filtered by Genealogy's bartering system or maps or whatever.
I've played FE4 on original hardware and it's a genuinely sound game that has stood the test of time. I wish people would prop up the base game instead of trying to will a remake into existence. Echoes took FE2 as a base and served only to elevate that game - everything added that wasn't present in the original fleshed out the characters and setting very well - something I don't feel needs to be done with Genealogy because it's already really good.
My gut tells me it'd be for the best if FE4 is passed over, so to speak. This is a bit dated, but might be emblematic of what we'd end up with:

What might be fun is documenting Ft. Mangs. Mangs's old Facebook and Discord community that had a rom hack made featuring a lot of the prominent figures that frequented the place. There is one major glaring omission from the hack but I think that guy came to notoriety after the hack was well into development.

I've learned that, while there are pockets of tolerable and even normal people, I don't want to deal with the wider community that goes fucking apeshit if you state that you like Ike x Elincia. The amount of hidden lolcows in the FE community is also pretty insane as well. I'm not even going to go into detail because it'd require a FUCKTON of effort, but you stick around long enough and you'll see them.

I recently got a group discussion video about a ranking of every entry in the series in my Youtube recommendations that I looked into out of curiosity and I was surprised that it had Chaz with the other "mainstream" FEtubers in the group.
They really don't care about still associating with him even after everything that came out. It's so blatant that they just wanted Mangs gone for some reason.

Given the current gaming discourse right now, slipping in incest, mind control, and netorare would be a cinch. It's because, ultimately, Mangs doesn't play their political agenda games. That's the gist of it. They thought they could hijack his sub count, but it just resulted in almost all of them crashing and burning in some fashion.
They think they're entitled to some kinda position or somesuch, but then collapse into fetal positions when they aren't able to hitch off of someone else who consistently made up for their shortcomings as a cohost.
