Just wondering
if Fire Emblem and Nintendo can take action on its localizer for removing content in dialogue cos the localizer's employee felt the need to push their poilitical views?

or if players can do anything so that we can get the real dialogues for characters
instead of the trilogy games Birthright/Conquest and Revelations going "..." for an entire interaction.
cos "Talk of death and war" in a War game = Too violent and bad.
Its time for a blackpill on Vidya censorship sadly. The fact is that Nintendo just wants money. Not surprising, but important to this topic. The unfortunate truth is that resistance to this type of censorship has greatly died down in recent years. Alot of the people who hated this shit back in 2016 moved on and simply don't have enough time or will to focus on this anymore. The largest demographic for these games, teenagers, have been replaced by woke zoomers that have been listening to censor-happy breadtubers. Fire Emblem Fates is now a 7 year old game (fucking crazy tbh). Someone who was 15 when it came out is now 22 and is about to graduate college. Alot of people who were in college back then now have a family to take care of. There may be a dedicated group of people who still play these games and give a fuck, but its too small of a group to make a dent. Back in 2016 the target audience hated censorship and consisted of a group of kids who were your classic gamer types. Now they've been replaced by trooner zoomers. Unless demographics shift back to the old audience, the numbers are now in favor of this glorified fanfiction.

i used fates as an example
but they did the same bullshit in Engage
by removing a Bond dialogue from one or two chracters

sorry my posts are exclusively character.ai spam but this is fucking hysterical

I've been playing Three Houses for a while, reached Chapter 6 in nearly 20 hours of playtime. The pace is much slower due of the various tasks you do within the monastery and it certainly feels different from Engage (makes me appreciate how much Intelligent Systems improved in the development of a full-fledged 3D game). My first impressions are positive though my sole annoyance was babysitting Gilbert in the story map of Chapter 5. Shit gave me bad flashbacks of Super Robot Wars A Portable.

Setes is my favorite character so far and Tahekito Koyasu, who I consider a great voice actor, playing his role as the doting and over-protective brother is really fun and relatable.

I pity the scoundrel who kidnapped his cute little sister

I think the only time I've made Flayn remotely work as a unit is keeping her on the sidelines in that advanced healing class and that was in the time-skipped chapters of Silver Snow. Her spell lists were helpful to use once I decided not to be a retard and look up how they work.

Still gonna try my damndest to make her stronger.

Anyways, I have started on Awakening since Wednesday. Hard mode is whupping my stupid ass :story:.

Me: (puts Lissa off to the sidelines) Okay...

Enemy: (appears behind and caps her, even in 'Pair Up') GOTCHA BITCH!

Me: Ughhhhhh....

Didn't Kaga did guns in Fire Emblem first?
Closest he did to guns was Crossbows in FE1 (which didn't come back for FE3 and the DS games, but did so for RD) which stuck to TRS, Berwick and Vestaria, the first 2 having one called a "gatling gunbow", which the fanlocalizer named "Chu ko nu", both to reference a real life crossbow and because he had some autistic issue about Kaga naming stuff over military equipment (he also changed a tome called Brenthunder because it referenced a real life gun)

Just a note, because you might be tempted to play another route. New Game+ does reduce a decent amount of the tedium because you keep your professor rank which makes some things a good bit faster.

Also you can just have Gilbert die as an ally if I know which map you're talking about, it really doesn't matter. In Maddening he is just going to die and you generally can't do anything about it.

Also I'm going to give you a very light spoiler, because you appear to be playing Edelgard's route from your clip. Right after a big change happens to Byleth, it'll be extremely obvious what I mean when it happens, you get a choice that changes the story completely.

Make sure you talk to Edelgard before starting the coming chapter, I won't say which one unless you want me to, or just talk to Edelgard after every single chapter if you want to be paranoid about it. This will give you a story sequence that will let you make a relevant coming choice, if you do not talk to Edelgard you are locked out of that choice for the entire playthrough. I've seen people miss this because they just overlooked talking to Edelgard at the wrong time and were really disappointed, so I fell obliged to warn you of this.

It isn't really esoteric or anything, it is just some really random case where you actually need to do something in order to unlock a choice option as opposed to it just being handed to you.

I managed to have Gilbert survive the whole ordeal in chapter 5, although it wasn't simple between dying to an armored knight that I had left alone in a corner of the map or him trying to take on the boss (in his monster form) despite having half the speed. Dude made me waste nearly all the rewinds.

Thanks for the warning about the route split, although would I get screwed later on if I tried to recruit students from other houses right now then stick with the Church?

Edit: Also too bad Anna in this game has zero supports whatsoever.

No, you lose pretty much nothing that isn't obvious if you go that route as far as recruitment goes. In fact you gain access to the ability to recruit Hilda if you do that just before the major plot shift if you side that way.

If you want to know when the split is about to happen or at least when to be mindful of what I mentioned then be mindful after chapter 10.

BlackBraGirl's exhibiting cow potential.

In case you missed it, he fell for a phishing scam a few weeks back and temporarily lost his yt. He got sympathies then lost all by crying about finding out about Mangs was more shocking to him than losing his living.

In terms of stress this one's somewhere between "I accidentally double uploaded" and "someone I've worked with for years is a predator and manipulator"
