I'm kinda surprised that there hasn't been an announcement, teaser, or hell even a leak of the next fire emblem game by now considering the commerical success and critical acclaim of 3H, even though it's only been like two years. Hopefully Nintendo is giving them longer dev cycle with a higher budget now that FE is now solidly a AA-franchise with mainstream awareness and not just "that jrpg that steals smash bros slots."

I really liked 3H even though I bounced off of Fates pretty quickly but it definitely has some areas that could use improvement. There's the much-maligned monastery and first act that make replays to see the other routes a slog and quite poor graphics. I get that the Switch is basically just a $300 tablet but there are textures legitimately look like something from a PS2 title.

Optimistically speaking, the switch is 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through it's lifecycle, and it would be weird to wait to capitalize on it's success until the end of the generation, especially with Nintendo's increasing fondness of season passes and premium online features. At least there's a massive backcatalogue of old titles to play in the meantime, and maybe it's a good thing, considering what a frequent/damn near yearly release schedule did to Pokemon.
There have been two persistent rumors since the release of Three Houses. The older rumor is that the next game will be a remake. The most popular theories are it will either be Genealogy of the Holy War or the Game Cube and Wii titles. The most recent rumor, following E3, is that the next game (still believed to be a remake) is basically done, but will be held over until 2022 to either close out or open their fiscal year. Of course, all this could have the “my dad works at Nintendo” level of truthfulness.
We got a port of the first game as some limited edition deal...And that's it, aside from Advance Wars, but I'm not sure if IS is working on that one.
WayForward is making Advance Wars.

So in Three Houses I'm at the part where green haired human girl is kidnapped. Do I need to rescue her on the first week or is it okay to put it off until the end of the month? Also got every girl on my team besides red haired tomboy (that I keep forgetting exists).

If you mean the thing with Flayn I believe rescuing her is mandatory, so leaving it shouldn't matter.

Also if you're not in GD, Leonie is pretty hard to get before a certain point because the devs decided to stupidly lock her B support behind a certain event. She makes for a great cav, bow or otherwise, and if you have both her and Lindhart later on then you can get a cool weapon from a paralogue.

It'll trigger like it normally does at the end of the month, despite the implied drama. Be sure bring a few keys though... Is something that I would say if you didn't have access to the market from the prep screen for nearly every fight in the game.

new game up yet?

That really was stupid. It made her unpopular.

If you've seen the what triggers that conversation, it'll be kind of impossible to like her.
I get the sense that plans for many characters changed as they added more routes and made things more formulaic to save time. Having her B support be triggered by an event would make sense if she was something more important to (you) like a childhood friend.

Little update on Goosaphone's E-Whore Career.
She got her nudes leaked lol
I seem to remember her saying that she was against doing full nudes in the past.
Guess that victimhood train is running on fumes.
This private information is unavailable to guests due to policies enforced by third-parties.

Her numbers on Youtube are miniscule so she's probably going to go all in on whoring herself out. Which she's charging like 50$ for.
I wonder how well Goosaphone will be off by October 1st?

It's kind of weird that they didn't go that route, considering that her simping for Jeralt feels kind of out of place for the series and she immediately latches onto you like you're indirectly responsible for saving her village (actually it was Lorenz's dad, but nobody cares).

Lorenz is another example. He has a lot of positive noble qualities but they're tainted or colored by belonging to an underhanded, ambitious, and callous family.
Sometimes it feels like people are being unduly mean to him because this isn't made obvious to the player. That there's a moral dimension Lorenz is unknowingly neglecting.

In all fairness, they might be confusing him with Ferdinand, since all they initially talk about is being the heirs to important noble family. But Lorenz is mainly going on by how great of a leader he'll be... But he also takes the time to understand his peers, which one of the few things that he has going for him. IIRC, he doesn't really own up to how his father was killing off merchants to force a neighbor into bankruptcy.

The prime minister's son is more along the lines of that jock who won't shut up about how great he is...But he hates his father and wants to outdo him.

Come to think of it, most of the characters share an certain archetype between the houses.

The game drops it too.
But yeah the similarity to Ferdinand is what I mean. The characters became more stock as the routes expanded.

I'm hoping that IS is just biding its time and working on something big in the meantime. I hate that Three Houses hasn't gotten ANYTHING since the update with the Ashen Wolves, I would've expected maybe periodical updates with even something as small as new outfits, like summer outfits in summer, maybe winter outfits in winter, add alt outfit options for characters who don't have them like the faculty, maybe other design options like glasses or hairstyles (for more characters than Byleth and the house leader), more playable characters like Rodrigue in Azure Moon or Judith in Verdant Wind...

I'm not really asking too much, am I? Just something so I can replay the game with some degree of enjoyment.

Like I said, I hope in this period they're working to make the next game even better than Three Houses.

3 Houses is a game that I think IntSys was banking on being incredibly replayable, and it is to a large extent, but unfortunately the repetitive level design and tedious story beats as well as the lack of content in general makes me wonder what exactly is going on behind the scenes here.

They clearly had a lot of faith in 3 Houses as a concept, but something seems to be stopping them from capitalizing on it besides Heroes and cameo appearances in other media. Regardless, they've had too many hits in the last few years, Fates notwithstanding, for me to doubt that they don't have some idea what they're doing. My theory is that the Switch was a pain in the ass for them to work with, but anything goes with this franchise.

Yeah. I've done like 8 runs of Three Houses to date, and I have a 9th run in the chamber, ready for whenever I wanna actually take it on. It does have decent replayability but the repeated levels are what trip me up, and it kind of triggers my autism (figuratively speaking, it's more of an OCD thing lol) when I turn a stage a different way so I play it from a different perspective. Lol

You know, I was really, really hoping that they would have done something with those odd cutscene outfit reveals that came from that VA interview we got a few months ago. You know, this one;

I was naively hoping maybe we'd get like a Three Houses Royal version or something announced at E3, like maybe an extended version or an upgraded version based on these seemingly accidentally released screencaps, just something to hold us over until the next installment. Maybe I'm being too impatient or weird about it, but I've really gotten to love FE in the last few years, so I'm kinda itching for more after having run thru every game.

Eh. Guess I'll wait a few months and continue that 9th playthrough when I get the urge to.

repetitive level design
Well, the paralogues are kind of infamous for this during the first year. That mountain map is supposed to be near where Dedue was from and it gets reused for another side mission that's closer to the monastery. At least the one with the wall in the Alliance territory is justified because both of these involves a certain Count.

But at the end of the day, around half of them are taken from the pool of skirmish maps.

As far as the campaign goes, I'm not entirely sure, since I only did one route and watched another; but the second half of the game is leaning towards reusing content from other routes.

I'm in the penultimate chapter before part 2. Having a lot of fun with the game, but it does feel a lot less punishing than previous games due to removing the paper rock scissors mechanic and the targetted enemy visual, making your strong units pretty much invincible and letting you hide the physically weak mages.
My biggest gripe is how nonsensical the promoting mechanic is. The is no lance specific mster class and the sword class requires you to have a high reason for some reason. And the pegasus knight doesn't have any advanced version for some reason.
I promoted Edelgard into a Wyvern Rider and holy shit she's strong as hell.

The is no lance specific mster class
There was hardly one throughout the series, unless you count the armored Generals, cavalry/falcon knight units, and the newish Spear Master from Fates.
And the pegasus knight doesn't have any advanced version for some reason.
It exists. It's an example of how bloated the promotion system is, but it exists.

Yeah, this technically isn't new because the Dark Knight used swords and magic (and sucked at doing swords, usually). But considering how most of your sword specialists don't have an expertise with magic, it always struck me as one of the several questionable design decisions in this game.
