I thought this was gonna be some offshoot furry thing where people want to fuck fish until I read the OP

We need to start to run a findom service so we can have neets power our autism
All this time we've been making threads on pathetic losers and laughing at them for free. You mean we could have been making the lolcows pay for it this whole time?

So do you guys think that these "findommes" are just con artists trying to scam lonely, desperate men out of their money, or are some of them women who are suffering from pretty severe entitlement issues? Like do they honestly think that because they have tits and vaginas that means they're entitled to a man's money without doing anything to earn it (unless you count being a cunt to people online as something)?

I believe its just a bunch of self-centered hoes who basically say "Ill give you love/affection/lust if you pay my bills". while not illegal its certainly pathetic of both parties involved participating. The beta fag dont have to pay, but yet they willingly give they're credit info to these hoes

I don't think you can really call it a "con" since they're not really promising anything. It's basically "give me money because being used like that gets you off".

This is nothing new or surprising if you've been around the BDSM community over the last 10 years or so. Its just more mainstream now. Yes a lot of radical feminists try it thinking they are getting back at men but the joke is on them because the johns have a paraphilia. They're basically appealing to some sick loser's base desires instead of actually humiliating them or putting them in their place. If you really wanted to be mean you could troll the ones that are dumb enough to use paypal by reporting them since paypal doesn't allow that type of stuff.

They're all over sites like fetlife (a lolcow farm if I've ever seen one but thats a different subject) and most of them act like idiots there too. The best part is when they try to pass it off as some sort of fetish, like wanting money makes them special or something. Theres a reason why most of them stoop to becoming "online dominatrices" because most of them are garbage.

ETA - A good number of them are couples where a guy uses his girlfriends pics. So there is a good chance its not even a woman that these guys are talking to, LOL.

I read about findom many years ago, and followed a couple of dommes on ED.

I don't feel sorry for anyone involved. The men are literally getting off on giving up the money, they're not being scammed, it's their dumb niche fetish. It's not like physical prostitution so the women aren't being exploited. They don't even have to get nude like camgirls, they just need to take selfies regularly which don't even have to be provocative. It's victimless, because the men are the type who can either afford to essentially have a sugar baby (without the sex and with a lot more humiliation) or they're giving small amounts and roleplaying that they're spending 20 times what they actually give. Very few guys involved are fucking up their finances (or fucking over their families) to participate. That one girl who got a 60k donation was obviously going to have it charged back or disputed.

This is basically what I learned while reading about the fetish years ago:

The more I read about findom the more I realised that the majority of johns are simply paying for their petrol rather than their cars, their groceries rather than extravagant meals at fancy restaurants. A huge amount of what you see with these people is roleplay or exaggeration. If a girl says her sub paid for her new car rather than a full tank then the hope is other guys will see her 'worth' and be inclined to offer more or to be her sub, whereas if they knew the truth they might overlook her, wanting to find a girl who will play along with the fantasy and demand more because more = greater humiliation.

It is a fetish. One who's market has become saturated, yes, but the concept is a very real fetish to some nonetheless. It is a form of ultimate submission to an abusive owner. Both sides have legitimate people, but unfortunately for them, even more fakes replacing either role and ruining it for them.

On an extended note, true abusive doms know to respect their sub's boundaries - that's what separates roleplay from actual abusive relationships.
From an outsider's perspective, it's hard to tell just how many findoms are forgetting to care for their subs; forgetting that they are also human with feelings and needs who are exposing their vulnerabilities to their doms.

This is where I see findoms fuck up. They think that they can block out their customers after they've been paid by them because "lol that's the fetish" and then complain that they haven't got many returning customers. They take findom roleplay as reality, and see the abusive behaviour from others as a standard script to follow without fully understanding what they're parroting.
It's a delicate, almost invisible line not to actually mistreat their subs.

Is it more successful than e-begging? Someone mentioned Alison Rapp earlier, and it's easy to see the similarities between the two. But it seems like, for once, Rapp is doing better than someone, since her payments are monthly through patreon, while a lot of the money on the findom beta's seems temporary/not nearly as reliable.

Made me think of this thread.

So it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Tumblr is a natural breeding ground for these sorts of findoms. Just search for "findom" and you'll find tons of these sorts of blogs, either posting selfies, or cringey demands for money and gifts. Here are just a couple I found:

That's a difficult question for me to answer. I don't personally know any findoms or patreon creators, so I don't have any references to go on here. I'd wager that regardless of what method they're using, it will always be up to the individual and their personal audience to determine how successful they are. Some will make more money on patreon, others will make more money openly offering to cashrape people.

However, you should keep in mind that since the adult industry is dying from the inside thanks to its biggest competitor of all time - free porn - many entertainers (professionals and amateurs alike) are flocking to sites like patreon to make up for their dramatic drop in earnings over the past few years.* The two may not become so indistinguishable in the future.

*the same could be said for YouTubers, music artists, and so on. Many entertainers are trying their luck at both markets to maximise their earning potential rather than making a sole living off of one site alone.

It's impossible to tell if it's more successful in any particular case.

95% of the job of being a findom is lying about how much money you make. Most of the screenshots you see of huge account totals are doctored in some form or another (Not necessarily photoshop, but it might be the domme in question loading up a paypal account with their own funds.) The goal is to imply that you have hundreds of men sending you money, which ostensibly verifies you as a real woman and also someone worthy of being sent money. It also lets you leverage control over the men who do send you money by making them feel expendable.
