In theory, we already had one (Gaia) helping us.Be a helluva plot twist if one of the last 2 (or so) Ascians comes and helps us stop whatever bullshit is going to go on in 8.0.

I fucking knew this was going to be Maygi before I clicked on the link. The question isn't whether there's loli/child porn crap on his computer, but rather how much.I am glad to read that I am not the only one who isn't too fond of opening all glamours. AF at least should have been exempt.
Really enjoying Pilgrims Traverse, enough that I am attempting to solo it. Looking up a guide however, I found this:
(sorry, no idea how to archive)
What is wrong with Lalafell players? This is clearly a guy with a lisp using a voice changer or something like that to sound like a little girl.
Okay so in the run-up to Endwalker there was a lot of speculation about the twists the story would have. A crazy ESL guy speculated and drew a comic about how Venat/Hydaelyn was actually the bad guy all along and did all this convoluted shit with the sundering and final days to eliminate the Amaurotine civilization and convocation so she could ascend to true godhood and rule the world.Wait whats a "trancer"?
While I agree, generally speaking I think most people would have expected a longer break from the absolute orgy of Ascian content the game already was, but doubly so after Shadowbringers and Endwalker.I genuinely don’t understand all the people that are surprise Pikachu facing over the Ascians coming back. Especially from the ones claiming it’s a panic button being pressed because of DT’s reception. We were told to remember their names to prepare for DT, there are multiple still unaccounted for, and DT itself is as subtle as a sledgehammer with implying that Ascians were involved with the 9th. They’ve also been a pretty major part of this game’s story since 2.0 (and even as far back as 1.0) so I find a hard time believing they would just drop that plot thread and dumpster them. I get that there are people who are tired of them (and that’s valid) but thinking they’d never come back is very naive.
Dynamis will, and was, instantly forgotten about, just like the blessing of light is forgotten about when it's convenient. Primals haven't been a threat since basically forever and with the silly "muh dragon scales make you immune" it's basically gone into borrowed power for the sake of the story and never will be relevant again. They may not utilize borrowed power mechanically, but for the story? constantly. It's shit. The more you actually take more than a second to think about the writing, the more shit it is. It never had to be this way, but they constantly write themselves into a corner and throttle their potential direction using constant escalating borrowed power mcguffins. The more you look at it, the more major power mcguffins are just forgotten about the moment their patch cycle ends like the CT, G-Warrior, Dynamis, Astral and Umbral balance, Artifical Blessings of Light, Zenos being able to hijack any primal but keeping him as only Shinryu, Garleans as a whole basically got swept under the rug instantly the moment it felt inconvenient to push their plot and hid their entire civil war aspect away, In fact, post heavensward we (and Gaius) started just popping Ascians off without all the previous requirements such as having to have crystals to imprison their souls because of their fundamental immortality and just retreated to their own dimension when killed, you know that thing what made them a threat. The setting needs a reset or at least a different direction. We can't just do more Ascians because their appeal back in the OG days was that they were spooky mystery niggas that we didn't know much about. Nowadays we know almost everything about them and the intrigue is gone.
I was hoping we'd get more stuff focused around dynamis. Maybe some kind of new faction of a similar ancientness to Amaurot but focused around dynamis instead of aether. We don't know much about the peoples of the pre-sundering world beyond Amaurot other than that Amaurot was the most powerful civilization (which means there were likely countries/civilizations that were not down with Amaurotine Aether Autism). Maybe some spooky feelings niggas were hanging around in a cave or something, and they avoided the sundering with feelings nigga dynamis powers. Now that spooky bird nigga is gone, they're popping their head out to do some spooky feelings nigga shit.
I dunno, just no more fucking Ascians.
But why WoWI have moved fully to WoW.
Dawntrail really was the end my nigga.
WoW got better after Bobby left. But why WoW
Yeah I'm having a lot of fun with the overhauled profession system. It reminds me of when tradeskills in XIV were fun.I have moved fully to WoW.
Dawntrail really was the end my nigga.
only 2 problems:I have a better idea, how about the hackfraud tranny writers actually come up with a new compelling cast of villains instead of recycling old and dead ones whose story was already over? Are the writers at Uncreative Studio 3 so creatively bankrupt that they cannot think up any new villain, is all they can imagine just "le evil plotting shadowmen"? Is this the peak of their creativity. There are like so many different things they could do, so many kinds of compelling villains / villain organizations they could write. Instead they just take the le ebul shadowmen and do it all over again. Fire these hackfrauds already.
To be fair the primal threat was really only a major plot point in ARR and gets brushed aside with some exceptions from HW onward. The problem with the blessing of light is that both Koji and Kate are full stupid with mixing it up with the echo in the English script and mistranslating the meaning of both so we get an inconsistent mess in the English localization. Dynamis is still a new thing and DT heavily implied that Wuk used it to defeat Bakool Ja Ja so I wouldn’t write it off yet. I always thought the artificial Echo and primal hijacking was stupid as hell and a shark jumping moment for the whole concept. Felt like the writers were running out of ideas to make the echo cool and wanted a cheap gimmick. I remember getting to that part of Stormblood and rolling my eyes at how dumb it was. To me it was the worst part of SB’s msq. I’m perfectly fine dumpstering that plot point and leaving it dead and buried.Dynamis will, and was, instantly forgotten about, just like the blessing of light is forgotten about when it's convenient. Not to mention that the power scaling is all over the place - that all of these things happen but you still get forced losses to Zenos and Ranjit repeatedly in the respective expansions. We also didn’t beat the Endsinger on our own, we were in a realm full of Dynamis, Zenos and the Scions help us out to boost out power. Most major threats we face have some sort of outside force helping us in general. We get Hrasevelgr’’s eye to power us up to fight Nidhogg, the blessing of light/echo/whatever the original Japanese script used for it is used by Hydaelyn in Prae to help us take down the Ultima Weapon and give us the power to automatically use level 3 limit break in both pre and post prae rework (and later Lahabrea in the reworked fight where he straight up kills us before she brings us back to life. The fight also retconned Dynamis into the plot.) The other Scions also help us kill Emet in ShB and Emet himself saves our asses during the Seat of Sacrifice. Wuk “speen lissun to me’s” her way into the final DT fight So in reality we’re really not that powerful on our own. I genuinely cannot see a way to depower the WoL in a way that will make it believable in the plot. I guess they can have our Azem gummy runs out of juice temporarily but it would just be a repeat of HW.
I thought the warding scale(s) was just a plot convenient excuse to finally have the scions fight with you against a primal, since usually they were excused for not having the echo. (Too bad we immediately ran out of primals afterwards, unless they made more in DT.)The game is very inconsistent about what your power level is and how it works - that literally the second they introduce the Scales of Warding it's unclear why there isn't a new band of Warriors of Light because several people are already at your power level or close that were previously waived away as "do not have the blessing of light/traveler's ward".
Yeah, it was. That's what I mean.I thought the warding scale(s) was just a plot convenient excuse to finally have the scions fight with you against a primal, since usually they were excused for not having the echo. (Too bad we immediately ran out of primals afterwards, unless they made more in DT.)
Necron is a primal if you count that.I thought the warding scale(s) was just a plot convenient excuse to finally have the scions fight with you against a primal, since usually they were excused for not having the echo. (Too bad we immediately ran out of primals afterwards, unless they made more in DT.)
