Anyone watching the drama between Zepla and Xenosys?
I was listening to it while I was out today, but I didn't get to finish it.
Something about them disagreeing about WFR for WoW or something? I think Xeems doesn't like WFR for WoW because he says that it's a load of fluff except like the last 2 bosses and that it's always the same 2 teams competing because the barrier to entry makes it impossible for anyone else to take a shot whereas in FF14, he says it's more interesting because no one has any info about an encounter before they start prog because of SE's policy on datamined stuff and that with a much lower barrier to entry, anyone can swoop in and claim WF on something and it's more exciting when that happens. He did say that personally he didn't like WoW's WFR and says that it's boring. Zepla reacted to his video basically laughing and wheezing and calling him crazy. She defended WoW, saying that the teams knowing all the mechs to bosses beforehand doesn't matter and that knowing all the mechs to an encounter beforehand "doesn't help anyone" whatever the fuck that means. She goes on to say that there's a lot of execution involved in the fights despite everyone just using a shit ton of add ons and weak auras with loud ass horns and noises and giant text on the screen to just tell them what to do.
Later on in the vid, Xeems talks about how anyone trying to get WF in FF14 just cheats and that just because they don't openly talk about it, or show it, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. He goes on to say that Unamed, the guys who got lambasted by everyone for using 3rd party tools to help them clear TOP, still cleared it first before everyone else and that it still counts. Zepla gets madge at him for saying that and accuses Xeems of advocating for cheating in FF14 even though people cheat literally all the time in FF14. She says this whilst overlooking that WoW does the exact same thing. The only difference is that WoW's devs allow the cheating to happen and develop their game around it. For fuck's sake, the teams for WoW's race pay people to develop add ons and weak auras for them ON THE FLY to adapt to any changes made to the bosses by the devs DURING the fucking race. Zepla then outright insinuates that no cheating happens in WoW at all and that somehow, streaming means that a person isn't cheating. Xeems says it't still possible for people to use 3rd party stuff AND stream. It's called being slick and making sure it's hidden on stream.
Xeems made a counter react to Zepla's react where he tears her apart and calls her an idiot who doesn't know what she is talking about and how she is missing the point of what he said:
I just want to also add, that Zepla thinks playing with a widescreen monitor doesn't give anyone an advantage in the same fashion that a zoom hack does. Xeems than proceeds to make her look like a fucking moron by showing screenshots of a person using a zoomhack and a person playing on a widescreen and then comparing it to his own monitor that isn't widescreen. He says that if you play on a widescreen which gives you a much larger field of view and vison to see things that your average player cannot see no matter how far they zoom out, that gives you an advantage over them, period. Because you are able to see everything coming and they can not.
