ERPers are fucking weird man. Some PL buut the healer I mentioned in my other post delayed our P1S prog because her mods glitched and her catgirl had a vagina texture on her chest, and instead of just deactivating them she NEEDED to fix it. Like, they can't even play normal stuff in the game without having a big tiddy catgirl in small clothes.
Also the drama those people cause, as mentioned by some Kiwis before, is insane. I only wanted to clear savage and suddenly I was entangled in FC wars and drama with people who sell feet pics of their characters.

I wanted to play a MMO, ended up in a badly written episode of Gossip Girl with insanity and degenerated virgins

Considering that a day's buy for Times fucking Square is 500 bucks for 24 hours, I can see it being pretty cheap.

Hm. "Pray Return to the Waking Sands" on a white background to replace the erp billboard... seems like a good idea.
Saw this one floating around

It even has the SpongeBob font like the original one

So correct me if I'm wrong.
But Island sanctuary is basically Animal Crossing? I guess thats a way to fix the housing crisis (?)

Nobody knows yet, they claim you can have buildings there but I would not get too overhyped

It isn't, they have yet to mention that you can build a real house and they've attempted in the past to be specific that this isn't the case right now. If it truly had housing they would have said something by now. Basically what you get is a literal farming and ranching minigame with its own mini progression system, and you get whatever items you can get from this thing and whatever value you find in making this space your own.

Don't get your hopes up.

TLDW about Island Sanctury (Please correct me if I fucked anything I only half paid attention during the LL)

- Island exclusive materials will be able to be gathered. (Does not require maxed out DoL)
- Island exclusive materials will be able to be grown in gardens. (You cannot plant regular crops on the island)
- Crafted items able to be made using afore mentioned gathered/grown materials. (Does not required maxed out DoH)

What happens on the island stays on the island, all of the crafted and gathered items will be market prohibited.

I believe they mentioned some sort of merchant/trader NPC - like Timmy and Tommy in AC that will have specials of the day that you can sell particular island items to for a higher price. (You will receive island currency, not gil)

No housing, though I did recall something about being able to have some decorative freedom on the island, though they did not specify exactly what.

Currently seems like a place to hang out with your non combat pets. And I presume vendor items and rewards will be around minions/glam/island customization.

Seems cute and I'm sure I will enjoy hanging out there but I like gay chill shit like this.

They could just let you grow regular crops and half of the reason to own an Estate would go away, maybe block island crops from being used outside of it instead. Gardening is the only legit reasons to own a Private Estate (maybe a place to drop your Outdoor Furnishings from past events).
Also I don't get the salt about Manderville weapons being behind Hildibrand questline. Even if you never played any of them, you can just skip cutscenes and solo the trials. Eureka and Bozja were a massive grind that you can't skip.

6.2 looks massive.

I'm one of those sweaty ultimate parse people but I do run a large FC and adore crafting, I have almost every crafting achievo and have made tons of gil almost incidentally it has almost no use in the game after a certain point.

The excuse of "I only ERP for the money" is the biggest cop out because you can do literally anything else in this game and make more gil in a couple hours than they would in an entire night.

They do it because their perverted men/troons and have a bad home life.

6.2 has features that were likely meant to exist earlier but got delayed for one reason or another, such as Island Sanctuary which they've been talking about for eons compared to the new dungeon system.

Plus X.2 tends to get more content because that's when the relics start nowadays since Stormblood and the new raid tier comes out, it is sort of a perfect storm of circumstances that tends to make these patches look big.

Also we have 0 idea if we'll get a zone like Eureka or Bozja in the Manderville relics, and remember you had to do the Ivalice raids to unlock Bozja which weren't very short romps (although it is shorter then doing the entirety of Hildibrand from ARR).

You know, I usually wake up expecting to read some sort of fatuous
shitshow here on the Farms, but 'Clown Emoji Terrorism' is not a term I'd have placed any amount of money in betting on being realised at any point in my lifetime.

I did enjoy the formal protests, though.

Anyway, Yoshi-P did confirm some kind of housing for the Island Sanctuary, but has since been rather mum on the whole thing. Granted, he wasn't even permitted to show us what the map looked like, so I'm guessing any details beyond answering what it is were slashed by the fossils over at Square Enix's PR office until the next Live Letter.

Dude your righteously indignant behavior over a bunch of fags doing funny shit is fucking annoying. I don't know what you do in FFXIV, but I'm fairly certain if you need to self-validate on a forum about laughing at funny people, you're probably worse. Calm down and just laugh at it for what it is.
You're on Kiwi Farms, you dumb faggot.

This is what we do.

I don't recall that and I've been trying to piece together what this content is since they announced it, the "HOUSING CONFIRMED FOR REAL" stuff was from a dumb influencer who overreached after his interview during the media tour awhile back. The biggest thing Yoshi has stated is you can make buildings, but that isn't the housing people care about. That is effectively establishing NPCs and interactables that produce X thing that is related to the Island Sanctuary progression system, whatever that is.

I think it can provide a pretty homely vibe depending on how many things you can build, the design of the space itself, and any little flourishes you can add to stand out from everyone else's island like placing trees or if you can design your farm/ranch in some way. But it will not even remotely be the fabled instanced housing that people want.

Okay guys, get a apartment and ERP to each other
I said my piece, anyway...
Saw the interview with the club owners. Both of them sound like such fucking dorks, mfw

I saw it too and there was a lot of half answers or dodging the questions or rather gaslighting any nuance people had concerns about like "well... the event wasn't SPECIFICALLY an ERP event, but we do technically have an 18+ discord server for people to join and MAYBE do some ERP in if it ever comes to that."

The interview itself was really boring to watch, but that's the gist that I got.
