Job design really has only gone downhill since 2.0. I'm just trying to imagine a game where the devs tried to make cross-class skills work, but heaven forbid you make players level other jobs.

Maybe I should just go back to XI.

Zero says "I remember how to teleport from my time as an Avatar"

You what? HOW? You were bound to a Garlean, you know, those people who can't warp around because they can't use magic. And even in the event you picked up on how to teleport, at what point would you, someone who doesn't live in this universe, have been attuned to the aetheryte in Garlemald? Nevermind, plot convenience.

it's deadass genuinely easier to chat to randoms at a bar counter about politics in India than it is to talk to the average FF14 player about literally anything that isn't anime or coomer shit.
I say this to my friends, but FF14 gets treated like a FF themed Second Life by a good chunk of people. They're likely losers in real life and have to larp as whatever faggotry they're into instead of keeping it to themselves like a normal person.
The other day I was in the level 60 alliance raid Weeping City of Mhach. Got to the last boss who has weird ass feet. When we got to her I scream "FEET FEET FEET" as a joke. I should of known better, because it sparked a degenerate discussion that I do not remember the details of.
Man I really wish I could give feedback on the current state of the game, a lot of things we've discussed would be mentioned. I just want more complex and diverse mechanics for classes, mobs to not be boring fodder, and harder base content.

Zenos used to live in Garlemald and was probably attuned to the aetheryte at the time along with his avatar. Zenos was also capable of magic as seen from Stormblood when he attunes himself to Shinryu so it's not entirely out of the question that he would be capable of that. Could those be plausible explanations?

Here is my MSQ story question.
Why is Zero suddenly developing feelings? What changed? How is she seemingly the only voidsent to think and ask these questions?

In Stormblood, Zenos undergoes the Resonant experiment, which basically a bootleg echo. Thanks to that he was able to do some magic and shiet.

MSQ was pretty good. The trial was fun and I love my autistic void gf.

Also paladin was never good.

Zero is one of the few voidsent who can remember the 13th before it fell to pure darkness and she does display genuine feelings of emotion in the first act with her as well where she serves almost as a protector for the crestfallen voidsent in her domain. A lot of the voidsent don't have memory previously of the world before and all they know is that they're beings who have to feed on aether with no real societal or even basic moral frameworks that they can go off of. They've also lived for several millennia and their minds, corrupted by Zodiark's influence, have kind of frayed with their memories foggy. That's the impression that I get.

Ah, I have forgotten about that so you're correct. Thank you
I just finished the new dungeon and it was alright 3/5 serviceable. That last fight despite having a interesting mechanic or two was a bit underwhelming. Wasn't that thing suppose to be the 3rd general of that big dicked voidsent? Little lame if so. Storywise it seems alright, but my friends seem to find Zero more annoying than I. They're a bit more critical to the story, with one of them disappointed that the story didn't see more of the voidsent war stuff.

The main thing that stood out to me is that during the new alliance raid the fact that they made Nymeia show up early implies that they now left a gap for a boss in the final raid and they're gonna leave me pondering for many months who will take that place.

I'm not surprised you forgot about it since it went nowhere but Zenoes had that surgery that give him the weird eyes to use magic

Crackpot theory but I'm throwing my hat in the ring for Louisoix. FFXIV do love their memberries, and you can make it make sense if you use enough autism.

I'm leaning that the unnamed entity who overwatches the gods is going to be the final encounter in the third raid. In fact, I'm placing money down that the ending to this entire raid, and I can see it coming from a mile away, is that the gods are setting themselves up to basically die and get recycled into the aetherical sea to become mortals. That's what they're dreaming about essentially.

The MSQ, however, I have no idea how the hell they're going to wrap that arc up in 6.4. There's two ways I see that going down; one, either they flood the thirteenth with light and grant the denizens death basically. Or two, they find a way to purge darkness and reverse the corruption restoring the denizen's original forms paving way for 7.0. I genuinely have no idea what they're setting up.

The area transitions for the new raid were gorgeous. I need to see the second fight again since I didn't think to check my debuffs whenever a card was played due to focusing on relearning my PLD rotation.

That last fight though... A certain Rusty Cage song came to mind in the fight transition. The boss' title doesn't help either lmao.

Finally got to doing the new alliance raid, I really enjoyed it. Mechanics-wise it was really fun to do blind. I liked the aesthetics too.

Since thats already 9 of them? I wonder what the final boss will be. Inb4 a fat fucking moogle

i think 7.0 is going to be Golbez weakening the barrier between the remaining reflections. This will allow not only the denizens of the 13th to enter the source, but also any other reflection, and vice versa. Likely a previously unkown faction in one of the unexplored reflections is going to be the big bad. Also they'll have to somehow reference Zeromus, especially as Zeromus was the twist villain in the same title that introduced Golbez

That would certainly fit with the theming in this update in general, so I can see it.
