They like making up schizo conspiracy theories like Ishikawa was kicked upstairs by Yoshi-p as punishment for making Venat "evil" instead of wholesume chungus mommy. I find it funny how the Trancers are vocally anti woke but their ranks are full of gays and trannies and their obsession with the Ancient world mirrors people who like it because it's "gay space communism"

I hated the Goth Doll boss in that post Endwalker dungeon because of how immersion breaking it is, it makes no sense pre imperial Garlemald would randomly have that kind of fashion. It was so obviously added as cash shop bait and lo and behold they finally released the outfit.

Theodric and a lot of trancers were also big Garlemald fans who unironically believed the Garleans did nothing wrong alongside stanning Ascians. Theodric also role played as a blonde haired Garlean named Graeham and there was one shitpost account on the official forums that took the name of his character and would mock the trancers by repeating their takes in threads with ESL style speak. They even tried to dox the troll but failed.
There’s another trancer named Rappy28/Teraq who still has multiple daily crash outs on Twitter and Reddit writing gigantic text walls on how much she hated EW. She was revealed to be an asexual French middle aged woman who played as a male Au Ra and has a massively unhealthy obsession with wanting to fuck Elidibus.

I recall there being plenty of pushback to Endwalker when it released, with tons of debate and arguments over it, but I'd say 99% of those people left because a mediocre overhyped jMMO story is not worth it.

Now it's a-loggers seething over "trancers" (anyone who uses this term is not a serious person) and minicows like Aveyond (who seems to be going all in on the vtumor grift)/Rappy/Lane/etc who can't let go feeding off of each other, even years later. Good to know Kate's expansion was such a success :smug:

I heard the newest thing people are having a melty over is the announcement that SE is cracking down on fraudulent accounts.

There's fear mongering that people who got codes from other retailers will get suspended and people are talking about retroactive bans being handed out after 4 years of them looking the other way.

Mostly it's people still butthurt over Mare getting yeeted.

Kind of, they're fraudulent game time cards and those codes can be sold from retailers that bought them with stolen credit cards. IIRC this is why they restricted being able to gift cash shop stuff to other axcounts

And there's already a working collectively-agreed-upon Mare successor called Lightless Sync and the discord has 400,000 members. It barely took two or three weeks.

Much of what is female-coded enjoyment of fantasy games like this is getting the pretend experience of wearing clothes that would in reality cost several thousands of dollars when you put together materials and labor, coupled with the fantasy of being able to wear your hair down and engage in strenuous physical activity without getting it all tangled up. Oh, and not having to worry about those clothes getting dirty.
Coomer enjoyment of playing a female character is seeing a hot woman wearing hardly anything.
Troons have lower-rung desires on the ladder.
This old image probably needs like four additional characters added to it but I can tell she suffered enough drawing just this.

There are lots of girls (read: not troons) I know of who love slut glams, too. It was something that initially surprised me, but I guess it goes into the 'fantasy' aspect of things and why people like playing the big hulking strong dudes or whatever.

Reviving this thread with some now-old news; Apparently Kate has been silently dropped from the localization team. Good riddance. The next expansion might still suck, but it can't be any worse than Dawntrail.

That's fantastic news. I unsubbed a while ago "to focus on my backlog" as I told my friends, but really it was because I couldn't stand knowing that every piece of text I read or heard in the game went across the desk of someone who would dance on my grave if I were shot, and funding her was not something I was excited about. Not that I expect the next person in Kate's shoes to feel any different, just that maybe they'll be a little bit quieter about having beliefs more heinous than most of the villains in the game they work on.

Out of curiosity, do you have a source on that?
