What is this shit and why is everyone so obsessed with it? Is it the new Genshin or Honkai or whatever?
It's the SFIII of Fatal Fury. Evidently, they are essentially following Capcom's example by dripping in a few more OGs in there to make sure the fans aren't completely alienated like with Third Strike.Hot Take: I don't want to see any more older characters from Fatal Fury in the next Garou because Garou was supposed to move on from Fatal Fury, and be the next generation with Rock and friends. Billy is a red flag (and I like Billy), and as much as I love Mai's tits, I'd rather see a new character, maybe one that rivals Mai (Jenet doesn't really work).
But idk, unlike Street Fighter, Garou separates itself not just in the roster but in name and brand from Fatal Fury so I don't get the worry.
On the other hand, I do like to see what happened with some of the OGs after Geese's death from a narrative perspective. Not everyone, just a few, considering some were already accounted for in MoTW like Kim and Andy and Mai.
In CoTW, we got Joe with his new apprentice. Whom I don't care much for ngl.
Also now I am curious. What is it about Jenet that fails? No reason for asking, just found the admission pretty amusing.
Thank you, I'm stealing that. Since Gouki Akumer no longer looks like Mufasa, Akuma Matata doesn't work anymore.Akumer
I concur.I thought about this. How much is a contemporary esport fighting game costing us. You have the base game, $70. Then the bullshit season's pass, another $25 to $30. Then the characters or stages purposedly not included in that pass. More $$. If you made the mistake of buying the PSN or xbox version, an extra $50 yearly to play online. It really wasn't worse during the 90s and early 2000s era.
They also didn't charge you for hair colors that'd fade over time so you'd have to buy more or implement premium currency that is specifically designed to be drip-fed in earnings via playing the game, tempting players to just buy it with real money.
Also, I got my hands on KOF XIII and 2002 Unlimited Match, the last dream match game. Say what you will about the Ash Saga but the games were solid as shit.
And Unlimited is just one big fun fan service wank where you can abuse Genocide Cutter all day every day or soothe the pain of fighting broken-ass Igniz in 2001 by spamming his most OP moves.
On a similar note, it kinda makes me wonder if we will ever get another Dream Match from SNK again. I doubt it but dreams are forever.
