>Nigger Fighter 6

I get that the FGC in North America is a bunch of hood rats and associates but this is too on-the-nose Capcom, c'mon. What's next, some pansy rhymie-robber like Snooping Dog as DLC? Tracks fresh out of the Soundcloud oven? Pathetic.

Am I just jaded or does this look like shit?

If you're jaded, I am too. Looks like Street Fighter V: Again Edition, with some Def Jam Vendetta added in. That first GTA half had me extremely worried.

Still looks very clay-like with Powerade flying everywhere, but V looked a lot like IV at it's reveal, and IV looked like a completely different beast in its early stages. Not really a fan of all the hip-hop crap, and I wonder how well this will go over for Japanese audiences.

Need to see more gameplay before I make a call though. The new Feng-like guy looked okay. I'll take him over Rashid anytime.

Two other things:
- Either Sony made sure not to show the other logos, or it isn't multi-platform again *sigh*...

- Commentators is a dumb gimmick that will draw no-one. It says "real-time" and "live", but what they really mean is "a dork gave us his voice lines". I'd rather hear the commentator from IV: at least that was funny and not obnoxious.

Her thighs are needlessly big.
>Complaining about Chun-Li's luscious thighs being too big
What are you gay?

Also, thanks for reminding me of the time when Akira Yasuda, one of the character designers for Street Fighter II, yelled at one of his co-workers for asking him why he made Chun-Li's thighs so big.

So this caught my attention. A small "Street Fighter Clone" is getting a current year re-release including rollback netcode and crossplay.

For anyone that's never heard of it, I play it all the time on FightCade 2, and it's an under-rated classic. Fast paced SF meets KOF (tight SF controls with KOF's 4 button input). Can easily perform combos with every character (even the slow ones) and some attacks/specials can juggle into super. Highly recommend playing it.

Breakers has been a mainstain since before the time of kaillera. I don't think it's an underrated classic. There was a period in the mid 00's when emulation people "rediscovered" stuff like Waku Waku 7, Galaxy Fight, etc.

Sex appeal means you have a fetish. Okay, buddy.

Looks better in 2D, 3D the proportions don't work as well imo
Chun seems to always get the short straw regarding her 3D appearance. Part of the problem is that they always, for whatever fucking reason, try to inject more of a "realism" effect, but it just looks uncanny as fuck. I think the ONLY time she ever looked good 3D was when they fixed her model for MvC:I after they got a HUGE backlash from how fucking hideous her original model in that game was.

Everyone on youtube is soying about Kim because she’s black. /v/ and this thread are complaining about Kim because she’s black. i’m the only one too distracted by the idea of Juri Han sitting on me to care

Juri’s like the ultimate “i’m not a footfag, but…” character

Juri seems to be the new "Chun-Li" since they keept sticking her in every new Street Fighter series since her appearance in 4.

Despite the incredible roster of franchises that established conventions used even to this day, Konami could never develop/publish one fighting game with a legacy apart from Yie-Ar Kung Fu or perhaps TMNT: Tournament Fighters. The latter case is simply a licensed product rather than a bonafide Konami original.

Almost everything that came after was just a mediocre clone of their betters:
Rumble Roses came close, but even that is a wrestling game rather than a proper fighting game which only got one sequel before disappearing entirely.

How come they just couldn't do it?

I don't remember any of those. Konami had Castlevania Judgement but it was only decent. They didn't make Bloody Roar, but they own the rights to it, so close enough, I guess?

They have so many iconic characters they could just do a SSB clone. I think they made other crossover games with their franchises, and a Mario Kart ripoff, so I'm a bit surprised it never happened.

I later found out that Yoshiki Okamoto's early career included work with Konami. The company later fired him but he then went on to work for Capcom which led to his role as producer of Street Fighter II. Perhaps that was poetic justice for letting him go.

All the other Konami fighters were either arcade titles (Battle Tryst, Fighting Bujutsu) or console exclusives (Kensei, G.A.S.P!!). The only one ported to console was Martial Champions.

Indeed, Konami now owns Bloody Roar as the company gradually bought out Hudson Soft from 2000-2012.

Fun Fact: This game is referenced in Dance Dance Revolution. Since the first game, they stuck Tetsushin Kongouji's head on a robot and has been the "mascot" for every PARANOiA song in the DDR series.

This actually saddens me, especially since it never even got a PC port, which would have sold gangbusters (and probably still would to this day).

Evil Zone / Eretzvaju is a late '90s fighting game with a pastiche roster of popular anime from that era. It's known for its characters whose individual stories play out as if they're episodes of a TV series. Despite the subpar gameplay, each character's distinct persona, from the salaryman-turn-sorcerer to the "British" metalhead on the road to possession and perdition, imbue the game with gravitas made all the more charming by the campy performances in the English dub.

Also great are each character's moveset which includes one guy literally nuking his opponent from orbit:

Salaryman-turn-sorcerer Keiya, as suave as he is condescending and ruthless:

Super Sentai reject Danzaiver, self-righteous and full of bravado:

Let's not forget the sociopathic Linedwell Rainrix and his impeccable "British" accent:

Is it just me or are those great graphics for PS1?

I've been playing Guilty gear accent core + R and I've been getting my ass kicked online, its a very fun game and has a loooot of freedom to how you chain your combos, one problem I have with the game, well its not really a problem of the game itself its a problem with me being more used to xrd, but that game is a lot more forgiving with the inputs than this one.
