The dev of DST is making a new game, Life Seeker. Look at how kino it is... Tho it isn't in RPGmaker unlike DST but it is set in the same world.

Yume Nikki definitely had a massive influence on RPGmaker games. Even LISA: The Painful RPG owes its existence to Yume Nikki since the first game, Lisa: The First is basically a Yume Nikki-lite. I am not surprised that Funger may have some Yume Nikki DNA either.

Although Disillusion ST does have combat and it is made in RPGmaker.

I never understood devs that just spend years on the same game. Almost all players will never touch the game again after completion, while new players will not want to approach since it becomes too tuned for anyone besides hardcore fans who play it religiously.

Are you sure this isn't a new Mewgenics game? His humans look like typical flash/indie-style cats. Looks atrocious honestly - other than the somewhat interesting surreal visual presentation, it's off-putting and comes across as cheap and lazy.

Also my personal bias aside, there have been a number of "Funger clones" out there:
This one has been making the rounds, from what I know it's Funger with a real time battle system made by Chinese devs. It's released untranslated, however...
Until recently. There is now an English patch out that is easy to install and I tested it out, it works.

There is also Eternal Carnival, which I haven't played but has a free demo out there. It's apparently Funger but inspired by African mythology so it's the We Wuz Funger or Wakanda Forever Mah Nigga Funger.

These two actually do seem to be real Funger-likes.

I hate lesbo so I probably skip Cradle of Nightmare. African horror tho.. it's a very underexplored theme that I hope native will work on this more. I mean SEA horror games are alright.

The last section of this tranny dress-up video, he was so pissed that the creator didn't want to do an interview with him to answer his questions, such as "What games and other media inspired you?" So he just gave up to have a pissy-fit saying what the obvious ones were rather than do any small research. Mind you, answers and more I have documented and put in this very thread before the video. How can one be so lazy and say nothing for a whole eight hour video that took two years? Lmfao

I tried Cradle of Nightmares. It's a weird game for sure, the scuffed fan translation by Mr. Skeletor doesn't really help me understand the actual plot of the game tbh, but I'd say it's decent so far if you're itching for something similar to Funger vibes wise. Gameplay could not be any more different, shit really does play like turn-based Dark Souls and I never played any Dark Souls games before. I guess if you fw Dark Souls you'll like CoN.

I had more fun with the Eternal Carnival demo since it's actually in English (as opposed to a literal machine translation fan-patch) and I preferred the more traditional turn-based combat.
 
Wow, the last time I saw All-bones Jones he was telling everyone if they didn't get him to like 100k views or give him money he was going to "go away forever" which I took to mean he'd kill himself.
