I tried Cradle of Nightmares. It's a weird game for sure, the scuffed fan translation by Mr. Skeletor doesn't really help me understand the actual plot of the game tbh, but I'd say it's decent so far if you're itching for something similar to Funger vibes wise. Gameplay could not be any more different, shit really does play like turn-based Dark Souls and I never played any Dark Souls games before. I guess if you fw Dark Souls you'll like CoN.

I had more fun with the Eternal Carnival demo since it's actually in English (as opposed to a literal machine translation fan-patch) and I preferred the more traditional turn-based combat.

Looks interesting and very-very inspired off F&H I'll look into it along with Disillusion ST. I am also looking it another game called Trench, it's style reminds me a little of Felvidek's but much more darker.

L.O. had their "final" update months ago that adds a definitive ending plus also more party members and boss fights. Now they are planning to have even more updates.
It's kind of like a PG-13 version of Funger in basically every metric tho.

You know, in retrospect I see why Miro announced awhile back with his next projects he was moving away from shock-type horror entirely. If something I created for horror was being compared to literal Japanese-Hentais I would probably be disturbed enough to nuke my player base and start over.

Man Fear and Hunger is one of those games that i want to recommend but the game mechanics can be a dealbreaker for some people. Although is fucking bullshit to lose to a coinflip, that has always been the bane of my existence in the game, although im just super unlucky.

Regarding the LonaRPG, after seeing a review of the game, if you take away the whole sexual shit out of the game, theres an interesting game under the hood. Personally for me the whole sex stats shit and the the fact that it has pregnancy mechanics just really makes me disgusted. I guess the creator wanted to go for realism? But it feels fetishized. LonaRpg makes black souls look tame by comparison and thats saying something

That's my case. I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad game, but i think Funger is far too janky for my tastes, even for a rpg maker game. I really like the lore though, i've watched many videos and gameplays about it, but everytime i try a playthrough i drop shortly after

Really cool lore and art, but i think the core gameplay features are not good
