It seems a lot of the people in the thread are girls/people with ED. It is likely that much like FA's they have a very warped idea of what a human body should look like, but to the opposite extreme. Much less what a healthy male should look like
I have to wonder how many of those "6'4. 31" waist" posters are really just women. I figure that they are really more like shorter women for whom that waist size would be skinny but not unhealthy not realizing that a 6'4 man with a 31" waist would make Auschwitz prisoners look a bit chubby.

The worst posts on there IMO are the ones mocking fat people posting gym selfies. I agree that people humblebragging on Facebook about their workouts is annoying, but at least they recognize they have a problem and are attempting to improve themselves. They mock a fat person on a treadmill every bit as much as a fat person eating a platter of Oreos...you literally cannot win.

It's not just gym selfies. They also mock fat people who make pictures of their weight loss progress.

This shows how deranged these guys are. You aren't just evil if you are fat - you are also worse than hitler if you dare to make pictures of you losing weight because you aren't perfectly thin.

Which you can't be if you are in the process of LOSING weight.

"Men" who think it's healthy to have the stretched out body of a 13 year old girl, deranged? Surely you jest.

Was looking for the gym thread there was a guy who said that he didn't think it was right to hate on fat people in the gym. And he was banned for being a fat "sympathizer"

They also said it was right to hate on a fat person regardless of their exercise routines or eating salads they were all the same. God, this is making me believe more and more that these people have some sort of mental health issue with this fixation on fat people.

This is a fucking insane policy. Any descent from the creed is punished.

I mean, it's the men in these groups that creep me out. Girls, say what you will, I get the idea. That is the beauty standard that the media thrusts upon them. Where are the men getting this "I must have a dainty little waist you can wrap your hands around." Attitude? Isn't our beauty standard thick and muscular?

I love how these people seem to think that viciously ripping fat people's self-esteem to ribbons is somehow a noble act because they're "encouraging" them to lose weight. Call me crazy, but I think that having a calm, rational conversation about how to be healthy and encouraging people to try it and not give up is more effective than saying "You disgusting piece of subhuman shit, you should just fucking kill yourself so that people don't have to look at you anymore."

Like, as someone who overeats as a result of my mental illnesses and acknowledges that I'm fucking myself up by doing so, I can guarantee you that someone insulting me like that wouldn't motivate me to lose weight. It would set my progress back months. Not trying to show off my power level, it's just that people need to understand that not all overweight people are disgusting, lazy slobs who are trying to make everyone else unhealthy. Some of us just overeat because it's a coping mechanism for underlying problems and insulting us just makes those problems infinitely worse.

I also overate in the past. Now I only do it when I'm very stressed which happens like once every few weeks. It's true that bullying makes your problem a lot worse. I was overweight since I was a child and got bullied a lot. The result is now that I feel to fat for certain activities. Sometimes there are days were I can't leave the house or enjoy my hobbies because I have this horrible feeling that my body isn't good enough for it - even if I'm not fat anymore. I can't get rid of it.

The "I bully you because I want to help you!!1!" is bullshit.

I have a cousin who is currently going through cancer treatment and the depression from it has made her weight go up and down. She has had several cancer relapses over the years, and she might seriously die. If you believed you were dying I doubt you would give a fuck about your weight or appearance.

I guess with the internet being so widespread these days all kinds of morons who would be shunned by society found other similar morons and created groups. Never heard of these ones before but it seems more like pure assholery and not even the funny kind. All they do is pointing out at a fat person (or even a skinny one) and saying "LOL a fat person".

.... Stumbling around their sub... I found a post talking about Men's fashion.... Where they are moaning about being 6'4 men with 31" waists.
.... what?

No, hold on... 6'4" with a 31" waist?

That's not humanly possible unless you're part beanpole. I'm 6'. At my lowest when I was lifting just about every day I went from a 36" waist to a 32". I was literally down to under 10% bf and the only way to get any slimmer would have been to have an operation to cut parts off. I can't imagine 6'4" and a 31" waist.

C-can someone who understands clothing look at this thread and explain it to me? (https://www.reddit.com/r/fatpeoplehate/comments/336d5u/mens_fashion/)

Because unless I am horribly misunderstanding them... Good fuck, guys, food is not your enemy.

Well, I worked in a clothing store for a couple years off and on during college so I'll try to explain things as I remember them.

Men's fashion is a lot less complicated than women's fashion where you have things like vanity sizing. This is where you take a size, say it's smaller than it actually is and make the person feel better about themself. This causes problems when a size is different depending on the manufacturer. So a size 2 from designer "A" is actually a size "6". But from designer "B" it's only a size 4. This also leads to such things as the 0 size, the 00 size and I've heard even 000 size. Before all this, a quick rule of thumb was take a woman's size, add 30 to it and you'd get the approximate men's size. This helped when a woman would come in looking for a man's jacket or suit that she then wanted altered.

Men's fashion is based on inches, or centimeters. You measure the inseam, get the length of the pants. Throw the measuring tape around the waist and you have the waist size. Arm length, neck circumference, chest, they're all straight forward measurements. What you then get, in a suit off the rack, is a six inch drop from chest to pants. So a size 42 suit is a 42 inch around your chest with an accompanying pair of pants which are 36". Now most people don't have these exact measurements so it's necessary to have things taken in a bit or in some cases let out. You can let out the pants in or out a suit by maybe 1/2". There's extra material in the seat for this. Why only 1/2", it then ruins the line of the pants making your back pockets too far or too close. Same for the jacket. You can move buttons to make it a little tighter or looser, usually half a button length plus little and tucks here and there to keep the suit looking good and not bunching up or rolling in areas especially around the neck.

This has also led in recent years to the so called "young man's suit" which is an 8" drop between pants and jacket so your 42" jacket comes with a 34" pair of pants.

To get any kind of clothes outside of these standards, you need to go to a specialty shop. Anybody over 6' is considered tall. A waist over 46" is big. A chest over 50" is considered big. A neck size over 18" is considered big.

So this freak at 6' 4" with a 31" waist is not going to be able to buy clothes off the rack because he's a freak. He needs to gain weight if he wants to do that. If he can't, or has an unhealthy aversion to food, then he needs to visit a tailor specifically one that can adjust his clothes or make him a new set.

32??? oink oink!1 Now excuse me while I'm desperately looking for hamplanets who have the audacity to share their weight loss pictures with the world. Then I probably will either bully my fat nephew until he cries or I go shopping. But NOT without my pills against panic attacks because I'm really triggered by all these fat people1!1

I think I've seen videos that some of these people shoot at gyms. I know it has been said in here, but it is really fucking shitty when they make fun of fat people trying to lose weight. It's almost like they have this sort of elitism around them where even someone admitting that they have a problem and trying to create a plan to fix it is a bad thing because that means more people in their super sekrit skinny person club. Usually most fat hate comes from fat people being obnoxious and refusing to see that they have a problem, how can you really make fun of a fat person who realizes that they're unhealthy and is trying to change that?

A much less hateful forum is http://www.reddit.com/r/fatlogic. FPH and FL hate each other because FL don't wish death to fat people.
FL actually critizes the Health at every size movement and it's supporters.

Yes, I enjoy fatlogic. They encourage fat people to lose weight and has many former fat people on it. But it is not just Fatlogic that hates Fatpeoplehate. Many fitness subreddits will bash it as well. They are pretty universally hated.

You know, there's a stereotype about fat people, that they're more jovial than most. This especially seems to apply to dudes.

Also, I'm guessing there's at least a few posters who are either fatties themselves or self-loathing chubby chasers.
