Yep.. these people NEVER get as mad about smokers or alcoholics. You don't see people bitching about how consuming alcohol is unnecessary and drains the planets resources, or how they'll be a drain on the health care system in a few years with needing liver transplants.

Smokers get bitched about slightly more and like 90% of that is just because smoking smells bad and other people don't like smelling it. I really think most of the complaints about secondhand smoke are just trying to justify that, like the fat people haters who complain about their taxes.

Honestly, I think all of those excuses about "taxes" and "drains on the healthcare system" and whatever are complete bullshit. I'm not denying that widespread obesity does cause those problems, but I highly doubt that the denizens of fatpeoplehate are actively thinking about that whenever they comment "What a disgusting cunt, why haven't they killed themselves?" on some poor person's photo.

They're just trying to justify their behavior and make themselves look like good, socially-aware people when in reality they're just a bunch of hypocritical, cruel dumbfucks. Also, again, let me reiterate that the whole "bullying motivates people!1!!" excuse is utter nonsense.
 
r/fatpeoplehate is just mean and A-loggy. Like, I can understand making fun of shit, but just being mean isn't really funny.

On a semi-related note, r/fatpeoplestories and r/fatlogic are pretty funny usually.

I get it and I'm pretty out spoken towards HAES nonsense but this is well... too far.

I'm sorry, I can be short at times and even less than accepting of things like this. But to have this much hate, really makes me think there's some self loathing or this hate is really more directed to someone (fat mom treated them like crap etc) than the pro fat people.

If you really are in shape and healthy and happy you pity fat people a lot more than you hate them (and really you don't hate them until they bring up pseudo science and mock you for enjoying a hobby).

Also reading a bit seems that it's taking the my first internet edgy to an extreme, while I have little regard for the HAES movement, they are a pretty policttly correct movement to attack and it's probably a lot of people who are venting anger at life towards a group that's "ok" to hit.

Lift strong, lift big, love life. That much anger doesn't come from happy people.
 
One of the rules is not to make fun of people with illnesses that causes obesity and YET they pick random photos to make fun of fat people without knowing if they suffer from illness related obesity or not.

Fucking hypocrites.

Also even if a fat person states that they are ill - these people immediately say it's a lie because they have relatives with the same condition and they aren't fat.

Uhm yeah every body works different! Just because pos didn't made your mother fat doesn't mean that no woman who suffers from pos gains weight.
 
I had to get past people like this before I could start thinking about losing weight. I'd read comments about how fat people are ugly, lazy, stupid and the scum of the earth, and I'd just think "If I lose weight, I'll be more attractive to people who think like this, and I'll still be exactly the same person. Why the fuck should I please them?"

Getting thin isn't going to make these people be nice to you because they laugh at people who lost weight because their body has strechtmarks and so on. You can never do right. The hate you if you are fat and they hate you if you lose weight because you used to be fat and your body might look not good enough.

These guys live and breath hate. Don't bother to please them - do it for you.

Exactly.
I've lost 24 kilos since I started losing weight, going from class II obesity to just being overweight, and the trigger for me was that I could see how it was affecting my health and that I MYSELF didn't like the way my body looked. Other people's opinions barely factoring into my decision to get off my butt, in the end.

If people read anything by these people, they'll never lose weight: because why would you go to the gym or to the swimming pool when you think you're going to be mocked just for daring to be fat in public?

TL;DR: You're right; you have to do this for you, not to please wankers.

This thread is just fat people whining about being triggered. You should start a tumblr called "spergatory" and move this entire thread there, because our own spergatory just isn't built for this kind of thread.

edit ; our spergatory would need structural reinforcement to bear the weight of all these fat people basting their cheeks in blubbery tears of gravy, is what i'm sayin, just in case it wasn't clear.
